I had to laugh at the name of one of Amazon's free books today! How to Have a New Husband by Friday (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0033E14LE/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=frlinw-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0033E14LE) by Kevin Leman. I remembered that several of you recommended the similar book about kids, so I thought I'd share about this freebie. I downloaded it, but haven't read it yet. If anyone has read it, I'd love to hear if it's any good! The title has promise. LOL

LOL at that title. Can you get those free books on the Nook too or is it just for Kindle?

Well, I thought his book about kids was unrealistic, but I may have to try the husband one. Lol

I liked the one about kids, but warning...IT'S ABOUT CHANGING YOU in order to change your kids behavior, so probably you're gonna have to change in order to have a new husband, lol.

But I think he was right about the kids. My kid are at the worst when I'm not on top of my game, and when I'm doing that awful threatening and not following through. I don't want a NEW husband, necessarily, I'd just like to make a few improvements...

He has a book on sex, too, called Sheet Music that is really great.

Thanks for the link, Julie!

Amazon just has downloads for the Kindle. But I've heard that Barnes and Noble will often have the same freebies that Amazon does. You'd have to check the B&N website.

Hmm... I kinda like my husband but there are times I wouldn't mind an upgraded model. ;)

You can get a Kindle app from Amazon ... but I didn't know Amazon had free books (other than the old published ones) ... how often do they change the free ones ... daily? weekly? I'm going to have to check this out! Thanks for saying something ...

...and yes it would be nice to "upgrade him", but after 27 years ... not sure he is teachable. ;-)

Amazon has free books all the time! I subscribe to 2 emails that let me know about the free books. Books change daily, even hourly it seems. Here are the 2 websites and you can sign up for their newsletters.

P.S. I believe this is the same author of "Sheet Music", a book that was suggested in the libido thread.

It is! :) He has many great books on parenting and relationships. Plus, he is entertaining to read.

Yes, his books are great!

I haven't read this one, yet, though.

I taught the book "Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours" to a group of women during my husband's last deployment and it was great! Also, my husband is reading "Sheet Music".

I love getting free kindle books.

It looks like it is $8.60 when I click on the link. Is this a one day thing? Am I too late?
