I'm not sure why our province had to be different and couldn't just stick with Family Day...but I'm thankful for the extra day off this weekend!!

What are you all doing today?

Kids are tobogganing thanks to about 3 inches of snow yesterday. I'm having an early nap - luxury at its best! :)

DH let me sleep in a bit this morning, then he took the kids to Costco...and he might bring home lunch. So far, it's been a good day!! No real plans...might do a movie with the kids after supper, and I should probably put some laundry away... :P

I heard that you get it next year!

We're just relaxing and enjoying the extra day off. We went to the dog park this morning and will go for another walk later this afternoon. It is gorgeous today and I absolutely love that we finally have enough snow on the ground to cover the grass!

Quebec doesn't get Family Day, but since I work in Ontario, I'm off today, running errands, went to Dim Sum and just getting ready to go get the kids at school. :)

Here is Family Day and in Brazil is Carnaval (today, tomorrow and Wednesday), so I would be found enjoying a long weekend anyway. Yesterday some Brazilian friends surprised me with a baby shower. :) DH and DD went to an indoor playland and I stayed at home, trying to get some sleep, but feeling a lot of cramps didn't help with that LOL. Now I just finished doing my nails and in the evening we will hang out w/ some friends.
Happy Family Day!

I'm in Ontario - we took the kids to a fun event held at a local high school. I think it was put on by the Rotary Club. It was so well organized and the kids loved it. The gym was filled with inflatables and sports challenges. There was entertainment running all day in the theatre (this was a brand-new and seriously nice high school!!). They had rooms set up for gymnastics, cheerleading, dance and martial arts and the kids had a ball trying those out. There was face painting and balloon animals and a reptile party. There was so much to do - I actually took 500 pictures!! Nice to have a fun day with family!!
