The dr yesterday commented that I was huge (which I already knew) and asked Jordan wtf he did to me, which was kind of hilarious. But until I took the obligatory 40 profile shot (because my mom wanted to know why I hadn't posted it yet), I hadn't realized how ginormous I have gotten. I mean, obviously I'm miserable and uncomfortable. BUT OH EM GEE! When the heck did this HAPPEN!?!? I feel like it happened all of a sudden, even though I know that logically, that's not the way it works, lol.

In other news, I have a 41 week appt scheduled for next wednesday. If I make it that far I'll have a non-stress test and ultrasound to check on Swerbaby, and another internal. Depending on where we stand with those, we'll talk induction.

[TMI WARNING] At my internal yesterday I was a whopping 1cm and 50%. I DID lose my mucus plug on Tuesday, and I think I had some bloody show today, but I'm not convinced it wasn't leftovers from the PAINFUL internal I had yesterday. Swerbaby is riding high, so he's not helping my cervix move along at all.

Oh girlie, I totally get it. I'm only 28 weeks (with #4) and I'm already as big as I was full-term with #1 and #2. It's gonna be a long third trimester for me ... hoping your little one decides to come out and play sooner rather than later!

Yup. I didn't show until late, and then I was fine and enjoyed the bump, and then I had a belly explosion 3 weeks ago and now I'm measuring 3 week ahead. Karma totally got me, lol.

And I think once you have kids your body won't be your own for a long time. It's not all nursing and hair-pulling, though. I love it when the only thing to comfort my kids is momma's lap and snuggles. :wub:

No worries, I'm glad that most people love being pregnant and aren't miserable the whole time like me, LOL!

He IS really high. Which is not helping me progress into labor naturally. The dr already warned me that since he hasn't dropped at all (not engaged at all) my chances of a c-section are more like 50/50 now. Which doesn't bother me, but it means waiting around for an induction, which means being pregnant longer, which I'm not that excited about, LOL! I'm trying to stay positive though, and I have a bit of a gut feeling that he'll come this weekend. But we'll see.

That is seriously the cutest belly I have ever seen!!! I didn't gain a whole lot with the twins either, and I loved that I didn't look pregnant from behind, but I don't think my bump ever looked cute :D It was always weirdly lopsided and strange looking.

Col, I had the SAME problem with Chloe riding so high (my older daughter did the same thing and ended up needing a vacuum-assisted birth, but my dr now doesn't like to use suction - he'd rather go for a c-section). Anyway, at my 40 week check with her, I was 1cm and 70% with NO signs of going on my own. Thankfully, because of my blood-clotting disorder, my dr wasn't keen on letting me go very long, so that's why we ended up having a c-section at 40w1d.

I'm thinking about you TONS and can't wait to get the news that Swerbaby has made the grand entrance!

Awe!!! Your belly is perfection. :thumbup: You carry a lot like I did with my oldest DS. I seriously looked like I was going to tip over, but he was so high!! It was killing my ribs and making it hard to breathe. I was also 1cm at my 40 week check-up. He was 1 week overdue when my CNM decided we should induce (worst decision ever). I swear he would have stayed in another week because even at 41 weeks he hadn't dropped. His head was positioned mouth/chin first and I ended up having an emergency c-section. I can't help but wonder if I had insisted on waiting until 42 weeks if things would have started naturally. But I was so ready to see my baby!!! :wub:

I totally want a 3rd! ;) We'll see... still trying to convince DH. :hugs:

Yea, my girlfriend had her baby girl last friday, and we're like non-labor twins. No progress, babies up way high, nothing moves them down, etc etc etc. It's kinda funny actually.

I have a gut feeling that he may still come on his own, and maybe even this weekend, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I'd rather plan on delivering at like 41w 3d (which would be a week from tomorrow, and probably when I'd choose induction) and if he comes earlier on his own then all the better.

I'm sure if this wasn't my first, or I had any complications, we'd already have an induction scheduled, but since that's not the case, I get to wait. Yay. LOL!

I think I willed both the boys out. I had long serious talks with them (in utero lol) every day that they needed to be out by 'X' date... and it totally worked. lol I also knew Bella was going to be out at least a week before her due date (she was due during the middle of freaking exams) and she was out by then too. (of course she was an induction so that might not count...) So don't knock those feelings that you'll be having Swerbaby this weekend. ;)

such a cute cute (and big :) ) belly!! both my girls were late (Audrey was one week late and came naturally - Juliette was finally induced two weeks after her due date b/c that was the longest my midwives could wait) ... with my first - i was HUGE - when i went in for my ultrasound at 41 weeks the tech saw me walk in and immediately started talking about my twins - ummmmm ... nope, just one! LOL! and she wasn't an abnormally large baby either (7 lbs) - i just had a huge belly!

Still no Swerbaby, lol. And apparently he's decided that he doesn't like me sitting my computer chair anymore. Both last night and this morning he has gone NUTS while I sit in the chair, and calms down once I stand up. Sitting on the exercise ball seems to be acceptable, but it's so low to the ground compared to my chair, lol. Maybe I'll sit here for as long as I can manage in hopes it'll convince him to come OUT already. I KNOW he's got no room in there, so why stay in?? Lol!

I think it is sweet! I love these type of photos and wish I had thought to take some twenty years ago when I was preggers. I remember the hype and shock when Demi Moore was on the cover of Vanity Fair with her baby belly. I thought it was beautiful, as is this. :)
