Tomorrow we are going to look at a place for sale which is in our budget and closer to where my daughter lives. We are hoping for somewhat of a fresh start and really are just tired of dealing with the issues of people trespassing on our property all the time (late in the night a week or two ago some kids were doing donuts in our yard on a motorcycle.) My husband yelled at them and they yelled back don't worry we will be back. So for all those reasons think good thoughts that this new place is going to be something that would work for us.

We found our dream place over a month ago.....all except for the fact it was 1/2 mile away from the guy who caused the accident and killed our son. About four houses away actually. Otherwise it was perfect.

I'm crossing my fingers and saying a prayer that you find the fresh start you so deserve!

I hope it's perfect! A fresh start sounds like a great idea, especially one that will let you be closer to your daughter and grandbaby.

yea there are a lot of memories here. I know they will be whevever we go but the neighbors all know what happened and they kinda go out of their way to NOT talk to us. When they do see us they always say how sorry they are and they did not know what to say to us so they just did not say anything. Makes it even worse in my opinion. We had been looking for many many years prior to the accident and debated on different places in Florida even at one time West Virginia and Alaska.

Thanks everyone....The place we looked at today was nice. It is a short sale so it would be a few months before we would move if we decide to make an offer. The other place is so much nicer , bigger and cheaper though but like I said it is just one road away from the guy who caused the accident my son was killed in. My thoughts on that are through the years we have had horrible neighbors and we were ok. But I am just not sure I could live that close to HIM.

No matter how perfect the house, the other place isn't worth it. If it were me I'd want to remember my child's life, not be hit with the memory of their death every time I left the house. Good luck if you decide to put an offer in on today's place!

Rachel we already are...everytime we have to go into town for dr's shopping or whatever we have no choice but to go through the intersection of the accident. It is part of the reason why we want to leave the town we are in because we would be closer to where my daughter lives and we would shop over there instead of heading towards Orlando. I actually liked today's place. It is just off the highway and it is a nice sized house. Very clean. Decent sized yard but not overly large compared to what we are on now. But it is a lot to think about because this has been our home for 21 years now.

That has to be hard. I'm sorry! I also didn't know you'd lived there so long. That's a much bigger decision than leaving a place you've only been in for a few years.

It is hard. But we were talking about moving for years before the accident and my son was totally into moving. He wanted to move somewhere like Alaska LOL. Kid never stopped talking about living in Alaska. That would be a possibility if it was not for our daughter and grandchild on the way. I really hate wheere I live now. Between people trespassing on our property and our mailbox being destroyed every other month and stuff coming up missing in our yard I am kinda done with this area. But it is stilll the neighborhood my kids grew up in so it has memories tied in to it. I guess the memories go with me wherevever I go...honestly reading all the negatives about the neighborhood the only positive is that it holds so many good memories.
