:( That season went by way too fast. There was a lot more left out this season, but I can see why they would have to forego some characters and storylines for TV. Although HBO also seems to think they have to add sex scenes that never happened in the books for whatever reason. Still I think it was a good season...the White Walkers at the end of the finale looked so creepy cool! I can't wait to see who they cast as Mance Rayder.

Oh and we got to see Khal Drogo again! That was pretty cool :)

Yes, I was quite happy seeing Mr. Drogo again! I thought they deviated much more from the book this season, but I guess it keeps the show more interesting. I read the second book so long ago, it's hard for me to remember all of the details anyway. I'm sad the season is already over ... but at least HBO was nice enough to start True Blood this weekend, lol.

I understand why they have to change certain things up. And really, those book can use some streamlining. LOL
But I am beyond annoyed about that whole house of the undying thing. I was sooo looking forward to see it and thought, it's gonna be some real visual impact. I got slightly mistrusting, when they changed up the story of her going there. But hello? What was that??? That's gotta be the lamest possible way they could have done it. Just the one weirdo again? No sign of the undying, no prophecy, no nothing? L-A-M-E!!!

I agree Ginger, both my husband and I thought it was really strange how they approached the House of the Undying. We were bummbed they left out the chain from the war scene too ... but I still really love the series, so I won't complain too much :)

I was so sad that there was no chain...it was such a huge part of the battle scene. Other than that I was happy with it...I didn't care much about the House of The Undying so whatev! LOL

LOL Agreed that the series is great. I wasn't too upset about the chain. While I loved it in the books, I get why it wouldn't work on screen as much as an explosion. But maybe that took all their special effect budget and stole me the undying. :) Was the same with her son btw. The first second I was: Huh? Why is he not white-blonde and all? Then occured to me they probably didn't want to put heavy make-up and stuff on a baby.

I haven't read the books yet, so I don't have anything to compare the finale to, but I thought the ending with the White Walkers was AWESOME!! Too bad we have to wait almost a whole year for season 3! :(

We only get HBO until the end of the summer so I probably won't be seeing season 3 for a while. :( Going to miss Dexter too! :( :(

I must've missed the part that Khal was in. I'm glad Tyrion didn't die...I don't like the Lannisters, but I do like him. I'll be getting the books soon I hope!

Heheh, the waiting is actually WORSE with the books. It takes him about forever to write each of them.

Yes and the ending of book 5 is killing me..not knowing what will happen next!

Maybe with the series on and all the buzz going on with the books he's more inspired and will write more quickly this time lol

I still haven't read the last one. I was SO annoyed when the first reviews came out, telling me we are still not going ANYWHERE near pulling some strings together end, but keep on scattering characters and stories even more over the map. I enjoy complex stories with many characters and diverse story lines, but it sounded like it's getting to the point of madness now.

I will of course read it in a bit, but grrr! Anyone else suspecting, he has slowly lost any clue what to do with half of his remaining characters? I liked that nobody is really safe. But if I get suspicious, that characters get killed off, because the author developed them and side stories over many pages and then is stuck what they actually are going to do in regards to the big end...hmpf...
