We are on holiday in Scotland at the moment and tonight is our last night before heading home. We have been away for 9 days and I have just uploaded my camera card onto my computer to make sure I have a second backup.
780 photos in 9 days - ouch
That's gonna be some editing job when I get back. :D
Does everyone take this many photos or is it just me

This is totally me, i take way to many pictures at one time. I went to the zoo with hayden class and took close to 400 pictures.

Oh that's totally me! A one day outing to like the zoo or something. Usually gets me 50 to. A 100 pics. Put me in Scotland and all bets are off lol. Nature scenes make me take tons more. If I ever make it over there I can't even imagine how many pics I'll take! :)

I used to bring 800-1000 photos from 7-days long holiday. But now what helps me is... to go through photos every day in the evening or even during breaks through the daytime and clean them.
It has two advanteges:
1. You have less work when you come back home
2. As you delete bad pictures when they are still in the camera, you feel like a better photographer when you transfer them into the PC, LOL!

Haha I do that before I upload photos all the time! :)

I'm the same way. Three weeks ago I took 900+ pictures in Rome in three days. I think that has been my record, but the city is simply too photogenic. I'm pretty sure Scotland is very photogenic as well, so I can see why you took a lot. :-)

2. Depends on whether we're talking really bad ones or several shots of the same thing. In the second case I prefer to do the choice in the computer (*if* I do a choice - normally I keep them if it's not like ten similar ones of course), because I can never figure it out correctly on the camera screen (lucky you that you can). I also find that some bad shots make for good memories, too (not all of them, mind - and I do delete bad ones unless I want to keep the memory and there's not a better shot).

I am the same way. When I was in Germany, I took 940 photos over a three week period and I was working full time in Aachen, Monday - Friday. My last weekend there, I dropped my camera and lost the screen. I had no idea if it was even still working, but I went on to take a ton more photos and most of them turned out great. :D
Rachel, my sister was in Scotland last year on business and came back with a ton of photos too. I would so love to go there. The pics were amazing. Can't wait to see yours. :)

I am in the "land of no return" each time I go to Disney I comeback with Hundreds of Pictures. Now I have a massive mess where i have to get rid of duplications. Some pics that I thought were bad, i kind of like them later. I love to take pics so i do two steps one pic etc.

Yeah, I've found I usually average about 100 photos per day while on vacation - some days more some days less. We were just gone for 2 weeks so I'm a little scared just how many there will be this time, haha.
