I just finished watching the movie Alaska with Thora Birch where her and her brother go and try to find their dad who crashed in the mountains. I cry at the end when they finally find thier dad and when the whole town finds out that they made it safe, and when they let Cubby go with the other polar bears.

So what movies make you teary eyed?

I'm always a sucker for crying in animal movies. And why are there no happy endings in animal movies anyway?? And I HATE HATE HATE crying in movies, so typically I avoid movies that I know will make me cry. However, these ones slipped though and made me cry-

My Dog Skip
Marley and Me
Old Yeller
Lion King

non-animal ones
Million Dollar Baby (boxing movie)
Courageous

I should edit it to say made instead of make.

Hailey, I cry at coffee commercials some days, so I usually avoid any sad movies. However, I did bawl my eyes out at Marley and Me and sobbed like a baby at 8 below. There are others ones, but I can't rightly recall them at the moment. ;)

50 First Dates

every time

DH used to just keep playing the ending to watch me turn into a sniveling pile of goo...he thought it was funny because I hardly ever cry at movies.

Armageddon- EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. In fact its just bad enough that I don't watch the scene where Bruce Willis pushes the button. I just can't watch it.

Um..just about anything...off the top of my head these:

Steel Magnolias - the graveyard scene gets me snotting all over the place lol
Titanic
Bambi and Dumbo
Saving Private Ryan
Gladiator - just have to hear the music sometimes lol
Toy Story 3 - gah...can't even watch it
Charlotte's Web

and then of course it depends on the day with me...a few weeks ago I watched Bridesmaids for the first time and cried like a baby b/c I felt so sorry for the main character...I kept thinking..isn't this movie supposed to be funny?? lol

I love that movie and the soundtrack is on my most commonly listened to CD list.

I get teary eyed at a lot, but rarely really cry - but the Passion of the Christ had me completely bawling that gross ugly cry you're trying to let no one else hear. I was broken, humbled, and grateful all at the same time, and a real mess lol.

yup, me too!

Dragonfly is the biggest one that gets me every time. First time I watched it, I was all alone and 8 months pregnant - not smart!

Up, Bridge to Terabithia, Old Yeller and Lion King. Kind of sap for movies and yet I don't normally cry when something upsets me. I will not watch these movies because I know I will cry or I skip the sad parts;).

8 Seconds
The Notebook
Toy Story 3

I try not to watch movies with animals in them b/c I just can't handle if they have to go through something like traveling to get back to home, etc. It's too much for me!

Man there are just sooooo many that make me cry. The note book really got me the first time I watched it. I think because my grandmother passed away from Alzheimer's and it really hit home for me that that could possibly be me one day....:( Morbid thought I know but it really got me going for like 30 mins after the movie ended even.

Gladiator is another one that gets me going.
Titanic
50 first dates
Armageddon

Many many more!

The Notebook is another one.

Saving Private Ryan like Nikki said, I went to see it alone and the people must have thought I was nuts. I cried the whole movie.

I usually avoid movies that I know are sad though.

Up and Toy Story 3. I don't think it helped that I first saw Up while Adam was deployed. I just remember being mad at my little sister because she'd said it was a good movie and we should watch it and after I was like, "you didn't tell me it'd be SO sad!!" LOL!

My Girl makes me cry like almost no other. The scene where Vada is yelling that Thomas J needs his glasses? I can't even function because I'm bawling uncontrollably. I love the movie to pieces though - there are so many funny lines.

My husband and I both cried in the theater at Deep Impact when the mother of the little girl is crying & chasing Tea Leoni as she takes her daughter to the helicopter to save her and then puts the mother and child in her place in the helicopter - sacrificing herself & letting them live. Definitely ugly cry.

I also cried like a baby watching Moulin Rouge.

oh yah, I forgot about UP. I cried buckets. The movie came out right after my mom died and my dad was still pretty lost about what do to with his life. I didn't expect this movie to have such a sad beginning and so hit home for me.

and I did cry the first time I saw Toy Story 3. It was the summer right before Jacob went off to college and my emotions were really ragged about seeing the toys upset about Andy going off to college. LOL

Oh yeah..that first 10 minutes of UP is so sad.

I can't believe I forgot E.T. :(
and Forrest Gump

and Braveheart..when he's dying and looks out over the crowd and sees his wife...gah I'm tearing up just thinking about it lol

and Field of Dreams when Kevin Costner sees his dad :(

Dances with Wolves

and Ghost

Didn't read them all but need too- I love a good cry. The one I have saved for "need a good cry" moments is Of Mice and Men with Gary Sinise and John Malkovich.

I cry in any movie that has even the slightest sad part, or an overly happy part. I'm sappy when it comes to TV/movies for sure.

I cry during almost every movie I watch. It's ridiculous! I cry happy tears, sad tears, etc.

The first time I watched Deep Impact with Dusty (I had already seen it), I cried through the entire movie. It's a wonder that he still wanted to marry me, lol!

This is me too. I think I was the only one crying in the movie theater when we went to see War Horse. And Armegeddon OMG when she says goodbye to Bruce Willis. I bawled my eyes out. Then Ladder 49 Ikept asking my husband is he going to get out? Does he die. If he does I do not want to see the rest (joaquin pheonix). He wouldnt tell me and by the end I was crying. I even cry with cartoons (like Disney movies...think Simba's dad dying)

I cry during almost every movie I watch. It's ridiculous! I cry happy tears, sad tears, etc.

Marley & Me, Up at the start with Ellie and when he is looking through Ellie's album at the end, Step Mom at the end when she says 'now lets have a photo with the whole family'.
My daughter and I cried at the end of Velveteen Rabbit and the Tiger movie and I did get a little teary when watching the Fathers day video from Shutterfly. Since having kids I get teary at anything!!

So many movies make me cry. Anything with an older couple and one of them passes away...that just makes me sob. Some of the others that have gotten me:

Dragonfly
Armageddon
Ladder 49
Steel Magnolias
Something Borrowed

oh and if you cry at movies especially true stories DO NOT watch The Cove. I was crying through the whole movie. I did not realize how graphic some of the scenes were and how horribly dolphins were treated. Speaking of dolphins I cried watching Dolphin Tale too.

I cried during Stepmom when the mom says we will just have to have one of our dream dates when her son is getting the cape she made him. I also cried when the mom said "I have their past but you can have their future." And when they were talking about when the daugter gets married and Julia Roberts says she is afaid the daughter will be thinking I want my mom and the mom says and my fear is she wont be. :crying::crying::crying:

(and yes I have seen Stepmom way to many times)
