how do you wake up in the am?
a cup of coffe?
a coke?
a nice cup of tea?
or do you just pop out of bed full steam ahead?

I have to have like a half hour of quiet before I'm nice in the morning. I can get out of bed & get ready, do computer work, whatever, just as long as no one is jabbering my ear off.
Once I'm fully awake, I'm annoying- says my husband who takes about a half a day to wake up and not be grouchy. :)

I wake up ready to go at about 530 with no alarm. Perhaps that is why I'm good for nothing and usually in bed by 830!

I just wake right up. I like to have coffee in the morning but it's decaf due to my insomnia issues. Basically, once I wake up I am ready to go for the day, unless I am sick, then I am grouchy until the meds kick in

I have to have my coffee. I start it and then go shower. Then I drink my first cup of coffee and check forums, etc. Then I try to make myself at least start the washer. lol

I don't typically need caffeine to wake up in the morning...it's my afternoon slump where I need a bit of caffeine!! I'm lucky enough that Claire crawls into bed with me most mornings and plays on the iPad while I take a few minutes to really wake up. It helps a TON not having to get out of bed immediately. :)
I usually get woken up around 6:30 by my kids. No need for alarm clocks here! If by some chance I'm up before they are, I like some quiet. There's not much of it after everyone's up. :)

I love to be able to take a shower when I wake up to get some quiet time but that hardly ever happens as all my kids are already awake & wanting breakfast. Sometimes I can get away with grabbing my youngest out of her crib and snuggling her in my bed for a few extra minutes before she runs off - gotta love summer vacation! :)
I need quiet in the morning. I never get it, which is why I'm pretty grouchy most of the time. Ugh.

Coffee!!! I have two big mugs of it and then I'm good to go. It takes me about an hour to fully wake up (if I have an hour). On the mornings when I have to be somewhere I am good with just one cup of coffee in a travel mug. I am a morning person, and I have no problems getting out of bed, I am just dependent on my routine & caffeine.

I like to lay in bed for a while before I get up then I stumble out of bed and head for the fridge with my Diet Dr. Pepper. I'm not a morning person and never have been.

Ideally I would wake up before the kids, go to the bathroom shower, get dressed. But when my kids wake up at the break of dawn, none of that happens and I'm grumpy, but trying not to be. Then I have to rush to get breakfast made because the kids are starving (I wonder why when they don't ever eat much dinner!) and once they are finally washed up after breakfast I can enjoy my now cold breakfast while doing the Sunday crossword puzzle, etc. If I get my few minutes of peace there then I'm all right.

Phone goes off at 6:45 a.m. Hit 'snooze' and clutch phone in hand. Push Eliana over to DH's side of the bed. Pray that the world will end and/or money will begin to grow on trees. Fall asleep. Phone goes off at 6:55 a.m. Hit 'end' and stumble out of bed towards bathroom.
:p
I crack open the first Diet Coke when I get to my desk at work.

I'm another night owl forced to be up early because of my kids. (I have one who rarely sleeps past 5, but luckily he's now old enough to play alone in his room for a while. It was rough when I had to get up with him every day!) Now I get up at 7 unless one of the other kids wakes before then, and I get out of bed by 7:15. I'm busy enough with the kids in the morning that I don't need coffee or anything. It's mid-afternoon when I need my coffee.

I am SO not a morning person. I drag myself out of bed, go directly to the kitchen and have some breakfast with caffeine. I don't drink coffee, so it's normally coke. I check my email, Facebook, and the forum and hope that no one bothers me. Lol. My oldest is getting pretty good at taking care of his brother and sister, so the mornings are definitely better than they used to be!

I go straight into the shower. I feel gross if I don't (even if I showered right before I went to bed - ha!). I don't drink coffee, but I need a Diet-whatever by about 10am.

I am definitely not a morning person- I need silence for the first 30 minutes or so. I usually get up after my 2nd alarm at 5:30, wake up mr. man to get our daughter ready and then I get ready for work. Most times I eat breakfast at work and I have to have a Coke to drink.

Vyvanse... LOL
seriously, I'd stay in bed all day if I could and if I miss my meds, it's impossible to get up and function when these kids get up at 5:30 everyday... Really wish they hadn't inherited their morning person trait from their daddy LOL

Can't have coffee anymore because of my gastritis attack, so I have a glass of wheatgrass/barley grass. I use a brand that flavors it with our local version of lemonade so it's sweet. It's a great energizer in the morning :)

I'm one of those that wakes up with no alarm - even if I have to get up at a certain time, I don't trust alarm clocks... it annoys me when hubby snoozes it... haha - alarm goes off, you get up...
otherwise, don't really need coffee... many times I will make coffee and then forget about it under the coffee maker - then put it in the microwave to reheat and will forget about it again... haha

I'm not a morning person nor have I ever been one. DH will let me sleep in sometimes and he gets frustrated with how long I sleep. I haven't been able to just sleep until I wake up ever. If I did, I'd probably sleep 24 hours easily. I am a tired person in general and have been since I was a little kid.
During the school year, now that I'm working, I set the alarm on my phone and then hit snooze once or twice. Then I jump out of bed, get the kids dressed and rush to get myself dressed. Its go, go, go from the minute I hit the floor until I get home from work at least. Sometimes I'll nap, other times I'm busy with other things.
On weekends and during breaks... I sleep till DH or the kids wake me up. Often they bring me a glass of Diet Pepsi to get me started. I stumble downstairs and eat something for breakfast and then sit down at the computer. If I sit in the living room I will fall back asleep in the recliner or on the couch so that's too dangerous. ;)
When we're on vacation or something like that, I'm up bright and early with bells on. DH loves when we're traveling or camping or doing something like that because I'm so chipper and bright-eyed. :)

Usually just a get up and start the day kinda gal. I like to enjoy some quiet time (30mins), but not necessary, which is good, because it doesn't happen too often.
Normal day, babys crawl in bed around 630, get up, shower, breakfast, leave the house.

I'm definitely not a morning person!! :D I have several alarms set for school days because I know I'll hit the snooze button. It takes me about 30 mins to actually drag myself out of the bed and I need my diet coke fix before 10am, lol.

i normally get up when dh leaves for work at 530. i make myself cup #1 of coffee, take the dog out, check fb, my forums, then emma almost always gets up at 6. she knows better than to talk to me until i finish my coffee so she'll usually sit and just watch tv until madelyn wakes up. when she gets up i'll make cup of coffee #2 and make them breakfast. i hate waking up.

I am not a morning person either. I get up, roll out of bed and into the shower. After that I feel slightly more human. I am in the office by 6:30 every morning because I get so much more done before everyone else starts arriving at 8:00. By the time they get there I am pretty much awake and ready for my breakfast, which I eat at my desk. On the weekends I am happy if I can sleep until 7 am. I like to read in bed for a while on Saturday and Sunday mornings. My boss told me the other day that I yawn until noon and he is so right. Of course I only sleep about 4 hours a day, so I'm usually tired. :D

I've been thinking lately that, ideally, my DH would just bring me coffee in bed so I could sip a little first thing to help me wake up. As it is, I drag my butt out of bed and into the shower with much foot-dragging (literally), eye-squinting, and a touch of nausea. By the time I'm done showering, I'm awake. Then, by the time I've gotten dressed and made it to the kitchen, I don't really need the coffee anymore (but I have it anyway!).
Now, if I can just get my DH to cooperate. . .

Rather than my bedside alarm clock, I've started using the alarm on my phone, which I leave charging on the kitchen counter at night. This forces me to get up and out of bed quickly so that the sound doesn't wake my DD. I had to start doing something drastic because I was just hitting the snooze on my alarm clock over and over and getting up way too late. Also, I have to have one cup of coffee in the mornings, or else I get awful headaches by lunch time.

I try to get up and have my shower and at least 2 cups of coffee before DD wakes up, lessens the chances of me growling at her.

I recently gave up soda, don't drink coffee and am not a morning person. I wake up when DH leaves. All 3 kids are up by this time and are usually eating breakfast. While they finish their breakfast, I lay in bed for 10 minutes checking my email or playing words with friends with my mom (she's a serious night owl and no matter how late I go to bed, it is always my turn in the morning.) I drag myself out of bed to the bathroom and take my shower. By this point, my brain and my body are awake.

I'm 45 and since I was 14 I have had a bottle of Coke a day. Well I am over weight and my doctor has been harping, lol on me to quit drinking it. I tried for the last two years, really I have. I tried drinking ice teas, yuck! I tried juices, yuck, ice coffee's heck you name it, i've tried it!!! Well a couple weeks ago my doctor again said I need to lay off the "coke" she could tell I am a border line dietbatic just by my chin (yes its double) ...I don't know what happen in my head but its been EIGHT DAYS and NOT one drop of coke since, WATER WATER WATER!!! Im so proud of myself!!!

I usually wake up around 6am (except on weekends), hop in the shower then get dressed before heading downstairs. I make myself a protein shake and a Spark and play on the computer while drinking those. Once the caffeine kicks in I'm good to go but still don't like to be asked "stupid" questions until at least 2 hours after I've been up. Personally if my family can't manage while I'm waking up that isn't my problem. LOL Nope, not a morning person at all!!!
