I got up this morning and realized that three years ago today, I went on WW. I lost 28 pounds before June that year. I have gained back enough that I am almost the same weight I was then and I am NOT happy about it. Especially since I have to show my face in public in a skating dress no less, on April 1st!

So that's it. I'm putting my foot down with myself, Cadbury Cream Eggs and all, and I'm getting back on WW.

If you see me posting about anything bad....baked goods, chocolate, chips, nachos, give me a virtual hand slap please!!!!!

Good for you! I'm gonna join you. I think I lost some weight during my recent bout with the stomach bug, but I HATE being so unhealthy! {Though when my cousin gets here with my first Cadberry Egg in six years, I'll be doing whatever I gosh darn please}

I'm with you Jamie, 100%... my recent popcorn/rice krispie treat binge left me feeling depressed and bloated this morning...yech!

I'm tired of feeling so bad about myself and feeling guilty for all my snacking.

So I'm on board... now no more nachos! LMAO

Good for you, Jamie!! :) I started WW 8 days ago....down 5 pounds. I'm so pumped about it! I know it's going to slow down, but WW is a whole new way of thinking about food for me- let's do it!!

The first time I went on WW, I lost 30 lbs. From 193 to 160. I only had 15 lbs to go to meet my weight goal and never go there. I went back to college and gained back 40 lbs!
It sucks. I hate it. And I really wanna get back on WW again, I just have to find the motivation for it. Winter sucks because it makes me want to go to bed and sleep all day. If Spring would just get here, I know it would make me a lot more motivated and active.
Blah.

Anyone else a nighttime snacker? How do you curb it?

I do great until about 8 pm... then the kids are in bed, it's quiet and I'm working or scrapping and I just crumble! And it's always junk... cheese curls, cookies, popcorn.

I just don't know how to get over the hump of cutting it out that first week, it's become such a habit.

I spend all day barely eating, once the kids go to bed I turn into a piggie LOL. I can eat a big bag of chips, whatever, I just shove food in my mouth like crazy. So I'm no help, as you know Jac LOL!

I want to go for a run, but I'm waiting til a bit later, I have some work this afternoon. I still need to talk DH into the treadmill, so I don't have to go outside LOL!

I hear ya about the night munchies!! I have been on WW for 10 weeks now and at weigh in this morning I was down 14.2 total. I am happy with that especially knowing I have had a few days (and weeks) here and there where couting points just was not happening! My problem is I start it and am so good for the first 4-6 weeks and then I start to get lazy. My head hurts from all the couting! BUT I know it takes time and the ups and downs are all part of it. So I try to be super good all week so when Fri/Sat comes along I can binge a bit... also gives me something to look fwd to. Best of luck!!

We should start a WW motivational thread! When you want that bag o' chips or that gloppy peanut butter sandwich (that is my downfall!) you can post and maybe the vent will override the hunger pangs. lol. :-)

Drinking water all day helps curb hunger. I add lemon juice to mine cuz I hate the taste of water.

If you feel the urge to snack at night, try making it a healthier choice. An apple, rice cakes or pretzels. Just remember to keep it in moderation. 1 apple with a little peanut butter, not 2 apples and the whole jar, you know? Lol! I got a big thing of pretzel rods at BJ's, and put together 1 serving plastic baggies. So when I feel the hunger itch, I grab a bag (which is 5 rods) and a big glass of water.

good luck everyone! i have no will power, i'm doing it the super gradual way. i haven't really cut down on food, but i'm taking walks during lunch (a good 30 min), and since they opened up a gym at work, i'm doing cardio 2x a week. let's see if that does anything!

I started WW 5 weeks ago and I've lost 9 1/2 pounds to date. I'm rewarding myself with non-food items for every 5 pounds I lose (e.g., a scrapbooking magazine at 5 pounds, a pedicure at 15 pounds, a new pair of pants at 60 pounds, my hobby area outfitted with IKEA organizing gear at 110 pounds lost, etc.). Gives me something to look forward to, especially with how much I have to lose. I'm not going to start exercising again until I've lost 20 pounds as hopefully then it won't hurt my knees and feet so much...
So you'll find plenty of support from here!!

Oh I am a huge night time snacker, or by myself snacker. When I am alone I am suddenly starving or something? LOL I wish I could afford weight watchers or I could call Jenny or something LOL I will have to do it the old fashion way I guess.

rewards are a good way to go about it!! i do the same. once i hot 20 pounds i am going to finally get my hair done. and i would like to give myself a spa day when i get to 30!! but i also like the small goals too so i might have to incorporate that into my plan. you can get so caught up in thinking about the long terms goals you forget about the small goals you have to reach in between first!

Not drinking water is one of my biggest downfalls!! I hate to admit it, but my biggest addiction would be Diet Dr. Pepper! And I know I should drink wayyyy more water than I do but I still find myself grabbing the can of Diet Dr. Pepper! And honestly the most exercise part of my body are my fingers (from all the typing and playing in photoshop! LOL!). So I am there with you! I really need to just do something about it! Can't blame the pregnancy factor anymore, my baby was born September '06!!

I'm in too...I was just thinking that I can no longer say this is baby fat since my son is 3...I had actually lost about 30lbs on WW before I got pregnant but since I had my son I think I've gained weight. I'm going to look up the local WW near my job and go today...

My son is 2 and I"m still blaming the baby fat on him. LOL The only thing that has been helping me lately is flavoring the water. I cut out all pop, and bought a bunch of the sugar free flavoring packets from Walmart. My fav is the grape and I drink several bottles of water a day now. Still not as many as I should be drinking, but it's better than none. :)

another thing that really helped me last fall, was that as long as I ate well all day, after dinner I could have 1 mini candy bar. They aren't TONS of calories, and it feels like a little bit of a cheat, but it kept me way motivated. 1 mini bar a day or two is much better than suddenly binging on fried chicken, like I'm doing right this second. :P

Mmmmmmmm fried chicken......

You're bad Col LOL!

I've been craving it for WEEEEEEEKS and I finally had to just give in. It's been a rough week overall, lol. I also didn't eat breakfast this morning in an attempt to save calories for said fried chicken. So no more cheats from me for at least a week :P
