ARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!

So, DH and I have been planning for months to go out of town this weekend to a marriage conference three hours from our home. My parents are going to watch the boys.
WELL.... I wake up at three am to a puke-covered toddler. Nice. So we get him cleaned up (he's happy and totally fine, despite the vomit) and he goes back to sleep for the rest of the night.
So I call my parents this morning to give them the heads up that Connor had thrown up and guess what? They BOTH spent the whole night throwing up!! My mom hasn't puked since the night she went into labor with me. Oy.
So now I don't konw what to do. They say they're feeling much better and Connor is obviously fine, but I'm nervous for them. Nothing sucks more than taking care of kids when you're stick with the stomach flu.
And I'm worried that Jeff and I could get sick while we're at the conference which would really suck.
But we've been planning this for months and its all paid for and I REALLY REALLY wanna get away with my hubby for the weekend...
Ugh. This sucks.

I would go. You paid for it and arrangements have been made. If your mom and dad are feeling better and so is your DS, then I'd go. Maybe it was a 24 hour thing?

Man, the flu is going around like crazy everywhere it seems. We had to cancel my poor niece's 9th birthday party last weekend because she got the stomach flu bad and it spread to everyone else.

I would go on your trip. If your parents still want to look after the kids and really don't mind, then you shouldn't spoil your trip. Like Val says, the worst thing that can happen is you get sick, then you can come home. But if you're fine this weekend and you miss out on your weekend away, that would be a shame.

so sorry Jenny, I say go and then if you guys don't feel well or start feeling sick then you can come back home...the flu hit pretty hard at my house a couple of weeks ago so I know all about the UGGGGHHH part~hope they all feel better soon!
