I'm still in September! ACK! I think today should be my official catch-up day and I can't go to bed till I'm current. I've come way too far to let it slip now. what's the longest you've gone w/o updating?

Um... forever? :p I can't do PL or P365 or P whatever. I know I'm bound to get behind, so I never even start. ;)

I hope you can get caught up today! Good luck!!!! :)

Probably the reason I've stayed on track this year is because I've been adding the pages to my Shutterfly book as I finish them, so I can see the book taking place.

I have my daily pics and journaling caught up but as for the weekly layouts I am turning them in to, I am on week 30 I think. But since I have all the info down I can do a couple in a night usually.

Months. I decided to do PL in mid-January this year and was doing digital pages. I think I got four done, then decided to switch to the traditional album with slip-in page protectors. I think I did through week six, then stopped. Mid-September I decided to get Becky Higgins' core kit figuring that it would be much easier that way and about two weeks ago I got caught up putting photos and journaling cards into the album. I still have to sit down and actually do the journaling, but that shouldn't take more than 2-3 hours, I think. And I seem to have a system that works to keep up-to-date now. Although, if I fall behind again, I know it won't be too hard to catch up.

Good luck getting caught up with your pages :)

LOL! It took me FOREVER to decide if I would do digital or paper. I even wrote down a geeky list of the pro's and con's of each. In the end I decided that I would be too disorganized if I went with paper and I wouldn't be good about printing pics.

I'm photo printed up through the 13th, but not journaled. I'm waiting for more journal cards to arrive today to catch up on 4 weeks worth. I'll catch up this weekend of the last two weeks, most likely. The only reason I was 5 weeks behind was the fact that I was moving and had no internet or decent computer for 3.5 of those, lol. Normally I am finished with the week by the tuesday after it ends.

I'm 2 weeks behind and I have a 2 week hole in September... and I have no clue when I'm going to get to them... so I'll probably be 3 weeks behind and 2 week hole at the end of this week LOL... I'm seriously surprised I've made it this far though... I've never been able to do more than a couple months before I get bored and move on to another project... that's why I like the December Daily and Week In the Life projects LOL

Well, I think it took me 3 months to finish my A Week in the Life album. I've never attempted PL, and I doubt I ever will. I'd be months behind all the time.

The last is the third week in March, 2011... (if you don't count May-Dec, 2010). ;)

I will get them done... may not be until 2014... but I will get caught up! In the mean time, I still take a photo a day...

I haven't done week 13, weeks 24-29 or weeks 41-42. But I'm not stressed at all about it. I work on them when I have time (and brainpower, which is not so often), and I agree that seeing the album come together motivates me.

Becky Higgins has a download of Everyday Photo Ideas (http://www.beckyhiggins.com/freestuff/) for those times you don't have pictures or remember the details.

I'm about three weeks behind. I just did week 39 this week. I keep thinking that I'm going to sit down and catch up on them all, but I can never find the time to do that. I really do hope to get caught up before we move in January because I know that is going to put me several weeks behind again. My laptop is super slow, so it's beyond frustrating to try to scrap on it.

Well I'm caught up, but only because I've done some type of this for 3+ years now and I know if I get behind it makes me want to quit. So therefore, I can't get behind AT ALL.

Good luck!

Probably the reason I've stayed on track this year is because I've been adding the pages to my Shutterfly book as I finish them, so I can see the book taking place.

That's a great idea! I am going to attempt a December Daily this year, or even a November & December (if Thanksgiving were to become a major event this year lol). Doing the Shutterfly thing might help me keep it going!

THANK YOU! I need this. :D

And there's NOTHING wrong with that!

When I get discouraged and I think "You are so far behind!" I think to myself "Behind with what? This is your first cohesive album!" There are other things I am years behind on... compared to my DD's baby album (my DD who is 9 1/2), a few months is nothing. ;)

I will be streamlining things for 2013, though... that's for sure! :D

I am just now starting March 2012 pages . This is my first year attempting PL but I am determined not to stop. I printed my first few pages just to see if that'd motivate me to get a move on it....noooo...lol! Hopefully, when the holidays come around and I have time off work, I can catch up some more. I just do a page whenever the mood hits me. :)

lol I go back and forth on whether I want to do this so I guess in theory I am behind but there is something in my mind that makes me think I will get it done lol!

I'm in Mid APRIL!!! I had been w/o a working computer for some time but have been really good about my pictures. I just started like 2 months ago and I'm in April.

I also recently found out we are expecting again, so I am REALLY motivated to get into "today"

Do you know how good it is to hear other people are still in March too or not much further??? I'm not alone! I didn't want to answer because I am so shamefully behind, but I'm sure I will catch up one day... or hope to anyway. I'm just glad I've kept notes on everything so it's all there when I come to doing it. I did do a couple of weeks more recently, but yeah :(

One other thing I'll mention, I keep a little folder by the computer and when something happens during the week I'll jot it down so I remember what to journal about. Like, Johnny sprained his ankle but I didn't get any pics, so I might forget about it when I sit down and pull up pics from that week. I've also pulled up the top news headlines for that week if I can't think of something to journal about.

I made a push a couple of weeks ago to get all my pictures printed out and put into my PL album with blank journaling cards (I'm doing it the traditional Becky Higgins way with the divided page protectors). I currently have all my pictures in (through yesterday) and this afternoon I journaled weeks 40-43. I figure if I work backwards through the year and journal a month at a time each week when I do my layout for the previous week, I'll be done with my album by the end of 2012. Now that I'm getting organized and into the habit of doing it weekly, it's actually pretty easy to take an hour or so on Monday to print out the pictures and do the journaling for the previous week.

I sit down with my planner so that I can remember what happened the previous week. I have a PL checklist in the planner so that I can make a note about my picture for that day and check off when I've taken it.

If I hadn't just spent a bunch of time putting together a planner system for 2013, I'd be tempted to use the Memory Logbook (http://logyourmemory.com/2013-memory-logbook/) next year. There's one that works well with P365 and another that's designed for Project Lifers. The printable and fillable versions will be available tomorrow. This is a code that will get $3 off of any of the Logbooks: 2013MEM3OFF. It's good until Nov. 4th.

I will say that the only reason that I've been reasonably successful this year with PL is that I gave up early on the idea of making cute digiscrap pages for each week and went with the traditional page protectors that I can just slip the photos into. Plus, I'm using one of the card sets that Becky Higgins sells. I really wanted to use my digiscrap supplies to do PL, but it was taking to much time and required too many choices. This is easier for me and I'm actually getting it done - finally.
