Girls, I'm in love! I had to share this with you because I think it's seriously wonderful. I found a this free organizing software program called DropIt (http://dropit.sourceforge.net/)
It allows you to set up associations so when you download several kits at once it will unzip and sort to the correct folder for you. Let me show you how it works.
When you download the program you will see this little Icon pop up on your screen.

All you have to do is right click on the Icon and then select associations

This box will pop up on your screen. As you can see I've already set up several associations but let me show you how to do it. At the bottom of this box on the left hand side click on the button that says new.

When you do that another box will come up that will allow you to enter your own information. In this screen I'm setting up an association for KCB.
I put Kristin Cronin Barrow for the name. In the next box down called "rules" you need to put something that is consistent to always be in a KCB filename. I used Barrow which needs to be put in between two asterisks. The next box you choose action, which is extract and then you click the file folder to select where you want the unzipped KCB files to end up. This can be anywhere on your computer that works with you own personal filing system.

The next thing you do is find the file on your computer where you store all your unsorted zip files.

All you do at this point is drag the closed file folder that is unsorted ( in this my case that would be "unsorted 1") and drop it on top of the blue down arrow Icon. Once you do that this screen will pop up showing your progress.

The zip files will not be deleted from the file where you hold all your unsorted kits so you'll have to delete them manually. Once the status screen disappears your kits will be extracted and placed in the correct folder.

I am horrible for hording tons and tons of kits without unzipping and sorting. Once you set up all or most of your associations you can drag entire folders with many different designers and drop it on the blue down arrow and it will just sort away. If you do a lot at once time it will give you a warning letting you know it may take some time. I hope some of you can find this useful!!
