The final Sookie Stackhouse novel? I finished it yesterday.

For one, I happy with how things were with Eric, I was a fan of his for the first half of the books, I think I liked him less when he was officially with Sookie.

Bill, also happy with that. I really liked him in the last 3 or 4 books, but not so much early on.


I was bummed that Alicde & Sookie never really hooked up. Md aybe it'll happen on the show. LOL! I really liked him.

I love Mr. Cataliades and Diantha. He was actually one of my favorite characters.

Quinn, DH loved Quinn, I was never into him.

And finally, I love that she ended up with Sam! He's always been my favorite for Sookie. I didn't care really who she ended up with, I think I would have been ok with anyone except Eric. LOL!

I thought this really tied things up well... bringing back Barry, Quinn, sending Eric off knowing he'll thrive (but maybe miss Sookie a little), even bringing back the lawyer and the preacher. I've always thought Sam would be great for Sookie, and even more the book before this one when she didn't even think before saving him, so I was really happy.

I was reading an interview with Charlaine Harris and she said this fall she'll have a short story out about the characters, a kind of epilogue so we know how it all turned out. I think that's a very nice thing for her to do for her readers. I hope she starts a new series. I liked her other two series and would like to continue reading her writing.

Yeah, I agree, she tied everything up very well.

That would be great, the short stories.

I've never read any of her other books, but I've been thinking about it.

OK, I finished last night. Ending up with Sam was not my favorite choice, but I understand how it would be happy for many Sookie fans. With Sam, she can have a normal relationship, she can have babies. I wasn't too happy with Eric leaving, but they kept true to his character. I did think it was a little weird to have every single person who ever wished Sookie harm who hadn't already died killed off though. But again, many fans would want that ending. It was fun to see all her old friends stop by again. I could have used more Quinn though.

I am in the minority. I didn't particularly care for it- but I haven't been as fond of the last couple of books as I was for the first several in the series.
