The decision has been made...I'm going to get ACDSee! My question is this....can you load it on an EHD? The reason I am asking this is because I scrap on my desktop but when I am on vacation/go to crops etc... I just take my EHD with my laptop and I'm good to go EXCEPT for my organization system. It is such a pain having to look through all your files when you are searching for a certain stitch, staple, color paper etc... I'm sure you understand the pain of that.

Up to this point I've been using Elements Organizer and I ran into this exact problem - when I was on my laptop I didn't have access to my Organizer and it was a big pain in the booty!

I'm not sure, but I would think that if the EHD is just like a hard drive that you could house programs on it and launch them. As long as your scrap stuff is always on the EHD and you are tagging it with ACDSee, I would think everything would be the same.

I haven't the slightest.
When I had the trial of ACDSee I just had it on my regular hard drive and added the EHD to the list of "stuff" to organize.
My computer is old and slow so it wasn't for me. The program kept crashing and just went too slow and I have the patience of a two year old. I use the Gina Miller organizing method and just search via my windows program. Works better for me, but I know many people love ACDsee! Have fun!

I can't see why not...an EHD is just like an internal HD...

You can actually just install ACDSee on both computers and then access your files on the EHD from either one. There's directions here (http://www.digiscrapinfo.com/phpmyfaq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=2&id=28&artlang=en) at DigiScrapInfo.
