When you are designing your LO's, do you mix & match elements from other kits?

I rarely use any single kit exclusively on my layouts - I don't think I ever have in fact. I find that I just open ACDSee (so glad I bought this!!), and find papers I like, then find a matching CS in my cardstock file, then just go searching for "perfect" elements in my other folders, regardless of who made them. If they are the wrong color, I sometimes re-color them to make them match.

On any given LO I will use 5-10 different kits/designers. How about all of you?

Oh yea, I mix and match all the time! I have too much Natalie Braxton goodness to not use it with other people's stuff! LOL

I used to, but now (when I scrap) I find I have been sticking to one kit. Maybe its the way I have things organized not sure, if I do use others its usually from the same designer or something I really like from a certain designer (stitching or stuff)

I love to mix & match! It's pretty rare that I scrap with one kit only.

I mostly mix and match but I've gotten really lazy about crediting so I mix and match less than I used to. I doubt I hardly ever use less than 3 designers per page though.

Lena, that's what I was just about to say. I LOVE to mix and match but I have really gotten lazy lately and tried to take everything from the same kit for the most part LOL

I mix and match quite a bit as well. Although, I've found that I keep going back to one or two elements for every LO. Like Micheline has this particular staple (Brighter Days Ahead (https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/shoppe/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16_20&products_id=2313)) that I LOVE! I've used it several times.

Majority of the time I stick to one kit. I pick and choose them one the whole kit. If I like all or most of it and I know I will use it I will get it. I am learning to pull from other kits. I just have to remember what kit has what!~!

WHAT!?!? See, I was under the impression that if I mixed & matched, my system would freeze up - you telling me that's not true? lol :p

I guess I am guilty of mostly using just one kit. I sure hope ACDSee comes out in Mac, so it would be easier to see what I have across the board. I really would like to mix & match more!

I mostly stick to one kit, though I *will* go grab essentials from other kits once in a while. I'm getting better about mixing it up a bit...lol!

LMAO...why would you have to, when you demand your designers to create whatever it is you think you'll need? ;)

If it's for CT layout I usually will stay mostly within one kit. If it's for a Digi Dare or something else then I tend to mix and match more. I also have some favorites that I always go to that end up on a lot of my layouts. I'd probably mix and match more though if my files weren't so incredibly disorganized, lol.

I use what I can from the kit and then I go looking elsewhere when I need more stuff. I don't use that many kits but I might use 3 or 4.

I almost always mix & match except when CT's don't allow.

I try not to mix CT lo's, but I tend to be a one kit scrapper. I'm hoping ACDSee will get me away from that.

when i first buy a kit i'll use it once for the majority of my LO but rarely after that and chances are there is some mix/match even then :D

I usually stick with one kit, but I do add things from element packs and I'll often used alphas from other ktis or that are stand alone alphas. I prefer to stick with one kit but if it doesn't have the element I have in mind then I'll go looking for it elsewhere.

I mix and match quite a bit. I love to use different kits to show their versatility. :) However, I try not to mix kits from my CT.

Depends how much time I have. :) I like to mix and match, but if I'm pressed for time, I'll just use whatever comes with the kit.

I'm a mixer and matcher. I also recolour items if I like them but the colour is all wrong for the LO I'm working on

I so WANT to be a mixer and matcher, lol but I have a hard time with it sometimes. I tend to stick with the kit but I really wish I could think outside the box sometimes.

I mix and match occasionally but when I am doing a CT page I try to keep to stuff within the kit to show off the kit I'm using as much as I can.
