Books/Classes for photography

I had told myself at the New Year that I was going to become a better photographer--and if I did, I could buy a DSLR! Does anyone have any suggestions for favorite books or online classes that helped them become a better photographer? I've been doing the Shutterbug challenges, and I want to expand my horizons. Thanks!

I just found Jodie Coston's Online Photography Course (http://www.morguefile.com/archive/classroom.php) and it looks like it has some good information in it. Two Peas recently did a free 12 week photography course (http://twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com/cg_display.asp?g=2&seed_id=26134) and you can still download all the PDF course files. As far as books anything by Scott Kelby (The Digital Photography Book and The Digital Photography Book 2) or Bryan Petersen (Understanding Exposure) are going to be good!
