I had some big plans for today (we were going to go to playgroup at a place with inflatables and climbing equipment-- perfect for getting little one's energy out!).... but somebody woke up with a mega-fever, and can barely get out of bed. We opted not to go, so now I'm just getting some work done from the couch while he rests next to me.

So exciting!!! I want to do a Disney cruise someday. They seem like a lot of fun. You'll have to update us on how it goes!

Aw! That's a bummer. I hope he's feeling better soon! We love those inflatable play places, we have one here called monkey Joes. In fact, we plan to go on Friday. I have this friend and we have made plans for a play date for almost every week since the beginning of December. without fail one of her kids (or one of mine) end up sick on the day of our play date and we have to cancel. We had one planned today, but her daughter has pinkeye.

Brook - you're one of those "happy" people, aren't you? Lol :p

I'm having kind of a blah day. The kids are out of school today, I'm making doc appointments that I want to pretend don't exist, and I just want to lay around.

BUT, I'm going to get some scrapping done, and that always lifts my spirits. :D

Bahahaha, Lydia, I was thinking the same thing. "Oh! Gosh! Brook is a morning person! She's one of those people."

Kidding. Mostly. I am really just jealous, because I'd rather be in bed than working right now.

Plans for this week? To get thru the day :) right now Blake is home from school - he had a fever last night before bed and this morning is just off. Don't really know what's going on - just hope he isn't getting the strep throat I had over the weekend. I need him to be better so I can get back to the gym! I miss working out! Oh - and I hope everyone is well enough by Friday as DH and I are having a date night. We need some us time!

Errands all this morning. Battling on the phone with the insurance because even though my doctor says he accepts our new insurance the insurance company is saying no - and I am NOT finding a new doctor, he's been our family doctor since before I ever even had the boys, shoot, he's the one my parents go to and took us to when we moved out of Memphis.
What else??? Hmmm... oh battling a wicked cold. And moving on to the letter B in Bella's school stuff.

The kids have a snow day, but there isn't enough yet to go out and play in. Hopefully soon. The Federal government is technically closed; employees who can work from home are required to do so, so DH is in the basement working. I snuck in a little scrapping time this morning and may find time for more later. All in all, a good day so far. Now if only I could find Lauren's missing snow glove...

Well... J is sick... has had a low grade fever since Thurs - except Sat... so that means no classical conversations today... *sigh* plus we are in another deep freeze, so I'm cold... I should clean the house - we have a builder coming tonight to give us an estimate on finishing the basement and expand the laundry room into the garage... I hope his estimate is a lot more less than the other guy - at $70,000, we might as well move to a larger home!

Today I am playing catch up. Lots of little tedious tasks that I have procrastinated on and it NEEDS to get done. As for the week.......nothing out of the ordinary. Just the usual mommy taxi stuff. LOL

And Brook, I love that you are THAT happy person. I need more of you in my life. For real.

ETA: I hate that so many are dealing with icky germs! Hugs to all!

The kiddo just laid down for a nap and I'm torn between tackling more of my to-do list, and dozing off with him. We didn't get a ton of sleep last night, otherwise it'd be a no-brainer to use the time for work.

Getting everything ready to start The Run club at my son's school next week. I'm such a procrastinator and have left too much to the last minute with PTA mom's stressed out.

Today went to an appt, then snow grocery shopping and this may sound horrible but I really don't want the kids to have off tomorrow. We are supposed to get 6-10 inches of snow but they said that last time so I'm hoping and wishing and you get what I'm saying.
My dh is taking tomorrow off after working 7 days a week for the past 3 weeks. We're suppose to have a date day but we won't if they are here :( I will be a crabby patty tomorrow, crabby! I need the quiet house, snuggle time, breakfast in bed and all that jazz!! O_o

keep your head up! they'll get it eventually :)

just hanging out and doing school with the kids today after a 3 day weekend we had. My hubby has been out of town, so it's been a bit weird being off our schedule, but I"ve been surprisingly productive with him being gone so I'm proud of that. I tend to not be very productive when he's gone, haha! I'm planning on taking the kids out to eat tonight as a reward for being so good these past 5 days

We've had our heat pump replaced today and it's been COLD to not have any heating for most of the day. Spent the day in the kitchen where we have a wood stove and have been able to keep fairly warm. It's not super cold outside (about -5°C) but still way to cold to not have the heat pump tured on. It really needed replacing though, so it's good to have had it done.

The rest of the week.
Well, my dad turns 70 tomorrow, which he has forbidden us to celebrate.
I should get my act together and finish writing my papers for the course I took this fall.

I'm attempting to potty train my two youngest today. It's not going well. I just want to cry. I trained my twins in one day. There is some book about it that I used. I sent the rest of the family out of the house and tackled it. But they are boys and I waited until they were well over 2 years old (I don't know how old yours are).

We have been re-doing our kitchen cabinets this past weekend. NOT a fun job and the house is torn apart. But I can't wait until they are done - I think they will be fabulous. :) So we still have some things to do for that this week. And then just the regular work and school.

I would LOVE to know how you are re-doing your cabinets. Are you re-staining them or painting, or what??

The foreclosure we have made an offer on has lovely solid wood cabinets that have flaking finish on them... so if we get the house I will be re-doing them .

A routine week here - work for me Monday through Saturday, Sunday off.

Cheyanne had Monday off so she got the house to herself while I was in at the office working that day until 11. Then we ran some errands and also worked on getting donations for her 8th grade class calendar raffle for their class trip. Then bball practice for her last night.

Today it was basketball out of town and pizza for the team after on the way home. Now we're home and she's doing homework. She has 2 mid-term exams this week; science and social studies.

Tomorrow after school is bball practice and then high school meeting night. We meet with reps from 8 area high schools so she can narrow down her choice for next year. Then after that she has more bball practice for her travel bball team.

Thursday is more work, school, and bball but nothing at night :D

Friday is R&R night - nothing going on at all and an early curfew because it's playoff weekend for her travel team - 3 games this weekend and hopefully a championship trophy at the end of it all

And that's probably more than anyone really wanted to know! LOL
