So what does everyone have planned for the weekend????

Tonight Hoping to have a quiet dinner with my husband. Hannah (11) has a school dance so I'm picking up her and two of her friends to take them all home. We'll probably go for hot cocoa at Starbucks on the way home.

Saturday - YMCA day - Katie is co-coaching the preschool sampler in the morning. Then both girls have Flag Football at noon and Hannah has a basketball game at 7 pm.

Sunday - Family day - hoping to get outside and go to a park and explore or maybe even ride bikes somewhere.

So what about you?

Connor and I are going to his first rock concert tonight! (yeah, kinda lame that he's going with his mom, but it's our two favorite bands, Skillet & Third Day, so we'll have a blast). I'm so excited!

The rest of the weekend is um...dunno ;) We're skipping archery because it'll be too cold out on the field, and we have no other real plans other than church and Downton Abbey/Sherlock on Sunday. We're that lame.

Today is no school again, giving them the whole week off. It's been too cold for the buses to start on their own and the county doesn't own any of those engine heaters you can get so who knows when we might have school again. We're going to the big city south of us today so the boys can spend the Game Stop gift cards they got for Xmas and hit up Cicis Pizza for lunch.

Tomorrow is some cleaning & junk room purging and then Sunday we are going to Great Wolf Lodge for two nights, giving the kids an 11 day vacation all together. *sigh* Education is overrated anyway. :)

SO jealous right now! I wish Skillet would come over to the UK. Would love to see them some day.

My weekend plans, were going to spent with my man however that's had to be put off now and I'll be having a crafty weekend with the kids instead!

Meeting with family I have never met! I have met 1 of Michelle's children, the one with the 2 little boys, Zach and Kevin, Jr. Her oldest son and her 2 daughters finally made it in last night. Hopefully they will move her to a room today. I have yet to see her since she has been in the hospital. I don't do ICU very good!

No real plans here... we are to head back into the deep freeze, with colder temps than before... so should do some food shopping. Also need to do some school this weekend - kiddo was sick M-W, so we should do some make up...

We had talked about taking a trip to Green Bay to check out the new Costco... want to see if they are better than Sam's since our Sam's membership is ending in March. Yup - that is as much excitement that can happen in the dead of winter around here... :D

The local grocery store has a kids club that my son's in, and they have some fun activities on Saturday that we'll attend. Other than that, no other plans yet.

My DD is having her first friend for a sleepover this weekend, she's excited! My boys are going to see the Harlem globe trotters on Sunday, I may try to convince DH to take the good camera because I would love to scrap a page (and not be limited to cell phone pics!) I've read they will do autographs and take pics after the show.

We're taking today off to go into Tampa to visit the Aquarium. Then we have a ton of errands to run including buying me a new monitor for my desktop.

Tomorrow is definitely a work day at home after taking today off (we do that often).

Sunday is hang out at home and enjoy our hobbies day.

Hanging out with Monica(DailyDwelling) and her kiddos today, doing a test run of my hairstyle for military ball next weekend, playing lots of Lego Batman, hopefully getting my landlord to send in a repairman to fix our furnace/thermostat, and grocery shopping.

Tonight is the first night all week we haven't had to be somewhere in the evening so we are staying in and watching a movie. Cheyanne has had midterms all this week and basketball and meetings with various high schools so she can make her decision about where she's going next year. She is exhausted, which is saying a lot because she hardly ever complains of being tired or worn down.

She has a big basketball tournament this week for the championship of her travel league. First game is tomorrow morning at 10 am (out of town so we have to leave around 8:30). Then it's home for the day after that so I can work and she can lie low because Sunday they have an 8:30 am game which means leaving here by 6:30 am. If they win that game they play again around 11 am and if they win that one they will play again around 2 pm and if they win that they will be the champions. They're going in undefeated so it should be a good tournament

Are you from Norhern VA? I'm in Loudoun county and no schools for us for this entire week. They even cancelled mid terms for middle schools and high schools. I cannot wait for schools to start next week. We need to get back into our regular routine gain.

Juli I love that your girls play football!!

Should be a pretty quiet weekend here. I *should* deep clean the house but I signed up for True Scrap pocket pages so I'm hiding in my office tomorrow until my 12 yr olds basketball game :-)

Going to be taking Hayden to see the movie The Nut Job, He wanted to see it Monday but there were way too many people there as school was out for MLK Day. So we saw Frozen and that was a really good movie. Hayden and I were practically the only ones in there. :)

On Sunday the kids have some of their friends coming over for a playdate. Other than that, who knows? Friday night is almost always just a lazy night at home, and tomorrow we'll come up with something to do as a family.

Today is no school again, giving them the whole week off.

We finally went back today with a delayed opening, giving them 1/2 a day of school all week. Next week there are 2 teacher workdays, so if we're lucky (ie, if the 3rd blast of extreme cold doesn't cancel school at all) we'll have 3 days of school.

I'm down in Madison. Us & Culpeper & Orange have had the week off. I'm hoping we have school next week but it's looking like Tues & Wed might be more of these temps, but then it should get up to the more normal upper 30s. Fingers crossed anyway.

It's been a rough week so I'm hoping to catch up on sleep eventually.

Tomorrow is Jeremy and I's date night, so we're getting together. We have a theme for the date-- the aim was to randomly pick an alphabet letter, then our movie pick and our dinner had to reflect that letter. We're still undecided on the movie, but we did decide on our food today. Neopolitan Pizza with Nutella Banana Monkey Bread for dessert.

Sunday will bring church, of course. I've also got a lot of work to get done this weekend, and some much-needed spring (winter?) cleaning and decluttering.

...maybe no rest for the weary after all.

DH just got back from being gone. the military sent him away for about a week and he missed the long weekend last weekend. He's planning on taking each kid out for some one on one time and then we'll do family time in the evening (probably go out to eat). He's always afraid that the kids think that he chooses to be away from them when the military sends him away even though he would always pick staying here with us if he had the chance.

Tonight we're watching DVDs and I'm going to scrapbook in a minute to see if it will help me relax. It was a rough day and I've been teary all day. Most recently from reading about a proposal on Bobbi+Mike's photography blog.

Tomorrow morning my daughter has a housing open house at the university she'll be attending next fall. If she fills out the application during the open house, she gets the application fee waived, so we'll be attending. It's 20 minutes from home, so it's not like we have to travel a long way to get there. I think living in a dorm 20 minutes from home is an awesome idea and support her wholeheartedly.

After that, I'd like to go to Sam's Club and pick up some protein bars and produce. No other plans except sleeping and being lazy. And that seems pretty darn good.

So interesting to see what other people get up to! For me, it's the last weekend of our six week summer school holidays so I'm busy preparing for the new school year. My youngest starts kindergarten on Thursday so lots of labelling uniforms, lunchboxes, etc, etc. We have the usual swimming lessons Sat morning, family movie night Sat night, housework for me (ugh!), and hopefully a bit of scrapping. It's also our Australia Day long weekend this weekend - we don't usually do anything too special, except maybe a BBQ.
