I have wavy hair and sometimes am too lazy to straighten it. But the problem is that my hair is also very thick so unless I put something in it, it ends up looking pretty wild. I still haven't found anything that makes the waves look soft and pretty. Can anyone recommend an amazing product for thick, wavy hair?

I swear by kinky curly custard. I use all curly girl approved products so it's silicone and sulfate free which helps the curls a ton.

I'll second the sulfate and silicone free recommendation, but my hair is fine and curly so I have no specific products to suggest. I hope you find something that's great for your hair! Also, I don't know whether this is as true for waves as for curls, but washing less often usually helps curly hair behave better and be less frizzy and wild. I wash every 2-3 days. On the other days I wet my hair to perk it back up and then use a little conditioner (as a leave in) and styler but no shampoo.

I have thick wavy hair and my stylist recommended the DevaCurl products, specifically the B'Leave-In and the Ultra Defining Gel for my hair type. What's nice about the gel is that it's designed to create a gel cast that you scrunch out once it's dry so you get soft defined curls rather than crunchy ones. It is on the thinner side so I use a lot because I have so much hair but it does work when I use enough - just use more than you think you need, haha.

I have thick wavy hair and this is one that I like for humid days in the summer when no amount of straightening is going to work, haha!

My hair stylist recommends this set. I have the curl enhancer and I like it for in the winter (i.e. non-humid days):

It's all available in Canada.

I have very curly hair, so I'm not sure if the result would be the same, but I use Condition mousse. I've been using it for over 20 years and it's less than $3 a container. Since it doesn't contain alcohol, it's non damaging. Good luck finding something that works for you!

Oh I love Aveda products. I think I will check those out first. Thanks Heddy!
