gallery issues?

i'm having problems uploading to the gallery. it won't upload. like, it starts. and then goes right to my gallery. and when i refresh, the layouts aren't there.
anybody else having issues? or is it just me?

Ashley, try to upload without anything in the description box and see if that works.

clear your cache
Tools-->Internet Options-->Delete Files and check the box that says delete all offline content.

When it finishes, close all your open browsers, then try again.

I usually get this if the file is too large. Could that be the problem? I should know if there is a limit - will go check!

Still checking - there is some mention in the foryum about lengthy descriptions - if you post without description you can then edit the post and add it later. You could try that instead of adding it to the 2nd screen. At least you'd know for sure then if it was the description that was causing the problem.

OK - Here is a How to Upload photos thread (https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/community/showthread.php?t=7505&highlight=upload) on image resizing. Many galleries have limits - they tend to be either 125 or 150kb for the image.

The thread (https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/community/showthread.php?t=7505&highlight=upload) gives quite a few suggestions on sizing and saving for web - hope it helps.

1) it's not too big. it's only 115K.
2) i tried clearing my cache as well. didn't do anything.
3) i tried leaving it with no description. didn't help either.

i'm gonna try again tomorrow. since i don't feel like fighting with it anymore tonight.

Quick question - what browser are you running - IE or another? Because I am wondering if you may have an add-on for IE that is preventing you from uploading to the gallery (since you already said fixing the description thing didn't work).

The fastest way to determine if an add-on is causing the problem is to run IE with no add-ons. You can do this by going to Start, clicking All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and click Internet Explorer (No add-ons). This disables all add-ons from loading in that instance of Internet Explorer. If the problem goes away, you can manually disable specific add-ons to find the specific one causing the problem. Below are instructions on how to manually disable a specific toolbar.

To disable a toolbar open IE, follow these steps:
In Windows, click the Start button.
Click All Programs.
Click Accessories.
Click System Tools and then click Internet Explorer (No add-ons).Once you determine the toolbar causing the issue, you should uninstall the toolbar through Add or Remove Programs in Windows Control Panel and then check the toolbar’s website for an updated version.

Try uploading without anything in the credits and NO image in the browse..sometimes that will pick up any LO you've tried to previously upload
