Not only do I have a ton of kits, I have a ton of fonts too - 685 not installed. Does anyone have any recommendations for an easy to use font manager for Windows 8? I would like to be able to organize by style or category but the most important thing is that I can temporarily install fonts

I have TypeDNA (http://www.typedna.com/) and I'm happy with it, but it's not free. However, I've just came across this one - no idea if it's any good, but maybe worth trying:

NexusFont (http://www.xiles.net/nexusfont/)

Ooh, I like the Adobe integration features of TypeDNA.

I finally gave in a couple of years ago and bought Font Expert (http://www.proximasoftware.com/fontexpert). There was a free font program I used to use, but I can't remember the name of it. I remember the font previews kept disappearing and that irritated me to the point of searching until I found one with a price I was willing to pay.

So with some of these programs you can actually save the fonts to them and not your computer?

I use Nexus Font and it's pretty easy to use. I can create my own sets and add fonts to them. The previews are nice and I can type sample text to see what it'd look like in that font. I also like that I can view a number of fonts at the same time, so I can see what the sample text looks like in all the typewriter fonts, for example. I don't know if it can temporarily install fonts, but I can uninstall any one with a right click.

I have my fonts saved on my hard drive. I use Font Expert to temporarily install whichever fonts I plan on using. Most times I just temporarily install all of them if I know I will be scrapping.
