Oh my goodness! We're in for "extreme cold" as the weather office said, which I think is understating it! Is the "layered look" still in -- because I'm going to be wearing lots of them, haha!
Anybody else in extreme weather this week?

Wow, I can't even imagine. Stay warm! Our version of "extreme cold" is milder than yours. We've expecting wind chills in the teens tomorrow, and by Thurs they'll be down around zero. That's about as cold as things ever get here. It's big news that we're going to have 3 or 4 days in a row where the actual temps never rise above freezing.

Not so much extreme weather but just too hot for me, if it was 17-21C with some breeze I'd like it- if the weather stays like this ill feel like this til mid march probably. Yesterday it was 26C at 3pm.

yeah... we are living it, too... it was -30F wind chill yesterday... "warmed" up today to 0F... and tomorrow we are back in the deep freeze to -30/-40F wind chills. One would think that this cold weather would freeze out the flu germs... someone told me that my city is number 2 in the nation on WebMD's search for Flu... so they are saying we are second sickest city in the nation - doesn't that want to make a person leave the house?

We've been all over the place this week. It went from -5 to around 50 in one day on Sunday. Almost 70 today and then a high of 30 tomorrow.

We're expecting -40 windchills or less tomorrow, schools have been cancelled in anticipation. Unfortunately, work has not been cancelled. Dangit.

Brrr... Stay warm for the cold weather!
And stay cool for those in the heat!
Surprisingly, and hoping I'm not jinxing it, it's been a mild winter here in Beijing... No snow yet, but occasionally, we do get strong cold winds.

Yep, we've had -40 to -50 F windchills here for a few days. Supposed to warm up today enough to snow a little (up to about +20 F) but then we get plunged back into the deep freeze tomorrow again :/

How interesting this thread is! We certainly live in a big world to experience such different weather all at the same time.

I can't imagine how you girls do it. We're freaking out about a windchill of +36 here in Florida tomorrow. LOL! I was definitely not built for your kind of weather.

-40?? My California brain does not comprehend that number. It was in the mid-80s when I flew out of CA yesterday and it's in the 40s here in Texas - I thought that was bad enough!

Windchill is -8F here today. Not cold enough to cancel school though. I don't mind the cold if I can stay inside! LOL!
