I love reading through this thread each week and getting ideas for my TBR!

What's the last book you finished?
What are you reading right now?
What's on your TBR for the weekend and next week?

What's the last book you finished?
This week I finished:
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18043253-code-name-verity)
https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1379951084l/18043253.jpg

This is YA historical fiction and I gave it 4 stars...really really good.

Then DH and I had to go out of town overnight and I picked up this book at Target:
The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22318487-the-winter-people)
https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1418772115l/22318487.jpg

Such a creepy read and I pretty much devoured it in 2 sittings. It wasn't an amazing work of fiction but it good.

What are you reading right now?

I am nearly at the half way mark with The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17220138-the-wise-man-s-fear)and I'm still loving it.
https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1386166425l/17220138.jpg

I also picked up a reead:
The Princess Bride by William Goldman (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/21787.The_Princess_Bride)
https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327903636l/21787.jpg

and I'm about half-way through with Dark Places by Gillian Flynn (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6569735-dark-places)
https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1370197782l/6569735.jpg

What's on your TBR for the weekend and next week?

I'm still planning on picking up The Night Watch by Sarah Waters and the Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller but I think first I'm going to grab The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9673436-the-invention-of-hugo-cabret?from_search=true)

I finally finally finished the North and South trilogy and am now reading Gilead by Marilynne Robinson.

It's not a very long book, so I should have it finished pretty soon. It is the first in a trilogy, but I'm not sure if I'll read the rest of the trilogy right away or do something else first. I am really really enjoying it, though. It's my kind of book.

I finished The Longest Ride (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18108211-the-longestide) last week. It was just a good, sweet, mindless story. I really enjoyed it. I needed something easy like that after the last couple I'd read.

https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1371835058l/18108211.jpg

I'm now reading The Chronothon (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23665466-the-chronothon) which is a sequel to In Times Like These (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18653188-in-times-like-these) which I read last year. It's very entertaining if you're into time travel novels (which I am. LOL)

https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1417623341l/23665466.jpg

Haven't decided for sure what I'll read next, but I'm thinking maybe I'll read the autobiography of Frank Abagnale (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/375789.Catch_Me_If_You_Can) (the man that the movie Catch Me If You Can is based on). It's been on my kindle forever, and I just saw the movie again last week. So, I think it would be an interesting read.

https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1388206735l/375789.jpg

I may change my mind though. I've got hundreds of books on my "to read soon" shelf, so I'll just see what floats my boat when I finish the Chronothon.

I finished Game of Thrones: A Song of Fire and Ice about two weeks ago.

I am in the middle of reading/listening The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August, The Woman Who Died A Lot by Jasper Fforde and two cookbooks I picked up at Sam's Club plus a Jacques Pepin's New Techniques.

I will probably try and read one of my Maddy Hunter Mystery books, either Bonnie of Evidence or Fleur de Lies. And I will probably listening to one of the non-fiction books I snag on audible.

Finished reading Gilead (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000O76NMS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1425169242&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=gilead) this week (loved it!) and then blew through The Kite Runner (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000OCXGZA/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1425169498&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=kite+runner). I know I'm really late to the game on that one, but that's just how things have gone. I'm glad I finally got to it, cause I loved it.

I'm starting Jayber Crow (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003SNIZV2/ref=tmm_kin_title_0?ie=UTF8&sr=8-1&qid=1425169617) tonight, which is a book my dad recommended, and I always like his taste in books, so I'm looking forward to it.
