It's a new week!!!!

Any plans for today/for the week?

This morning I woke to a sick boy, who went back to bed, and back to sleep (unheard of LOL), and my DH who is not sick, who is just snoozing. I've put in 45 min of work already, have laundry in, and once that's all out on the clothesline, going for a run.

Today, I have to do a ton of website work, I want to accomplish a lot today, and I also need to sort through the girls clothes in my effort to try to get this house sorted before we move. What do you all have planned for today?

My 9 year old ds was up most of the night crying with a tummy ache and doesn't feel much better this morning so I guess he will be hanging with me today. he's wrapped up in a blanket on the floor behind me because he doesn't want to be all the way upstairs by himself. I have a TON TON TON of work to do. I am more than two weeks behind, which equates to an awful lot of typing ( I am a medical transcriptionist) and I have a lot of layouts I want to get done today. It's supposed to be rainy and stormy most of the day here today, so perfect cozy day to stay in, type, scrap and do laundry :)

I'm trying to deal with my allergies... AGAIN! LOL! But then I'm just going to work, work, work. I have lots of little things that just need to get out of my way!

Any ideas for a quick or crockpot dinner from anyone? I'm not up to cooking tonight!

Definitely nothing exciting today, BUT... my BF, his son, and I will be driving down to Nashville this weekend so that BF can run in the Country Music Marathon. I even get Friday off work! Woot!

BF got a hotel right downtown so he can walk to the starting line... and so Tyler and I can sleep in! *lol* Being awake at 7 am on a Saturday is no fun when you're 5 (or 5 + 23!), so I'm thankful for that. I promised Tyler that if he was very good and stayed right by me and did what I said while his daddy was racing that I would buy him a cowboy hat and boots to wear to the concert Saturday night. He's very excited and motivated to be good!

I won't get very many good pics of the actual marathon since T. will be with me and it's a much larger marathon than BF normally runs, but pics of the three of us, T. in his cowboy getup, & the concert will be fun.

Awww, sorry you girls have sick babies! That's the worse, except of course when YOU're the one puking your guts up while it runs out the other end. THAT'S way worse, lol.

I am going to bed. Yes, that's right. It's not even nine am, and I am going to bed...as long as I finish this layout in the next fifteen minutes, which would be ummm impossible since I'm down to the embellishing stage, which is the WORST part of any layout for me. :(-

For me, after over a week of fooling around and vacationing...I'm up EARLY to get Mason ready for school. I have no idea what I'll do when I have to be up this early every day of the week next year, lmao.

Other than that, I need to get back into my designing groove, and I'm hoping to scrap some this week. We also bought a Wii on our way home on Saturday and have been playing it, but I'm SO sore...though I think today I'm going to play a bit more...hehehe...

Nothing exciting here. I want to start sanding and painting the bathroom, but I'm supposed to meet someone later and I don't want to show up looking like I just got in from a hurricane in a paint factory without sleep for 5 days. lol

So, I'll just putz around and post here while avoiding housework. I'm good at that.

Laundry, laundry and more laundry is what I will be doing today....I spent the weekend outside, shopping for baseball stuff and yesterday was picture day for my baseball boys so I got nothing done.........The weather is FINALLY staying nice so I am sure we will be outside later on...

My DS 1 has his first b-ball game on Tuesday, DS2 has his first on Thursday and then they both play on Saturday!!!! I am so excited for them both, they are really looking forward to this season. This is also the last season for DS1 since he will be going to HS next year so it is kind of bittersweet for him...Maybe they can actually win a championship this year. He has come in 2nd place EVERY year since he has played (5 years now) so I think it is his turn.......Can't wait to get some action shots and use Penny's Game On kit to scrap away.....

Back to work :( I'm so incredibly unmotivated to be here. The weather sucks, our drive home from western MD last night took twice as long as usual thanks to driving through an almost monsoon, and I'm dead tired for no reason.

I want to go home and curl up in bed under the covers and eat grilled cheese and tomato soup.

Well, the cleaning fairy didn't show up last night (she is soooo fired!) so I too have an enormous pile of laundry and other housework that is beckoning me! So I will def be doing that.

I'm so bummed that I have to work today. I had an uber creative weekend and I don't want it to stop. I couldn't sleep last night because I had layouts running across my brain. Is it so wrong to want to stay home and create layouts?

Sorry you're son's sick Jamie!

My DH is taking a few days off this week from work, and the kids had a long tiring weekend, so everyone here slept in 'til 7:30!!! (That is seriously a miracle in this house!) Then DH volunteered to take DS to preschool. Claire and I are hanging out here - she's supposed to be cleaning her room (as well as a 3 yr old can) and I'm supposed to be working.

I need to plan a set list for my band (lead worship at church and practice is tomorrow night), then do a lot of house cleaning. Getting a new laptop this weekend kept me from doing anything around here! Also, speaking of the new lappy, I also splurged and got PSE 6 and was loading actions and stuff last night; but some of the drop shadows and things that were there before I loaded new stuff seem to have disappeared, so I need to figure that out.

After all that stuff, I'd really like to be outside today as well. It will be around 80 today, and it's just gorgeous outside!

dang, I'm tired just reading that! LOL

I'm at work now, wishing I was home finishing all the spring cleaning projects I started over the weekend! My boss came in, in a bad mood - which just sets the tone for the whole day :cursing: My MIL offered up $500 for the person who loses the most between now and Thanksgiving between myself, my husband and my SIL - so I started dieting today which doesn't put me in the greatest mood either, should be an interesting day! I will be exercising of some sort this evening too

Jamie, hope the little one feels better soon!

Not much here today, other than laundry and sit by the phone praying someone phones me to tell me I have a job soon!! I hate waiting for the call, just tell me I either got the job or I don't!!!
Normally on Mondays, the little one and I go to playgroup, but I have no insurance on my van still, and hubby needs what gas he has in the truck to get to and from work until payday. Still have to figure out how to get to Brownies tonight too, although this is starting to get to be too much having to get a ride every week. I hate it!!
I also need to find a way to print out the kids stuff for their Interest Fair projects that are due tomorrow. Yeah, I am a slacker bad!

Good luck, Pam!

I'm home from work today with sinus headache/tummy problems. They're probably all related. Ugh! The real spring has finally arrived in Houston. I'm probably going to go back over to the sofa to watch movies and generally be a slug today. At least I have the house to myself with dh & the boys at school.

At some point I'm giong to re-print my mini arrow book that I was ranting about last night :) I got the template right and printed a sample page last night, so I'm ready to rock 'n roll as soon as I feel a little better.

No plans for dinner...but that grilled cheese sandwich sure sounds good!

I usually sleep on the drive in while DH chauffers me :pOh man, when hubby and I commuted together back when I was in school and he was a courier I'm sure I was quite a sight. We'd barely make it out the door and I'd have the heat and fan cranked, drying my hair with my heater vent while eating a banana or whatever portable breakfast I could find. Then I'd sleep through his first few deliveries that he'd do on the way to dropping me at the university.

I think I need this recipe!
Here you go. BTW, those are someone else's notes added to it.
Easy Thai Chicken
chicken breasts (I do 1 lb)
3/4 cup salsa
1/4 cup peanut butter
2T lime juice
1 tsp grated ginger
1T soy sauce
Put chicken in crock pot, mix remaining ingredients, pour on chicken, cook on high 4 hours
I use the lime juice in a plastic lime, and the already grated ginger in a little glass jar, so this takes me 5 minutes to put in crock pot. Then cook rice or pasta right before serving. My DH and I like it spicy, but I've done it with both mild and spicy salsa, and it is good both ways. To make it more mild, I'd cut down on the ginger and add a bit more peanut butter (which gives it a creamy texture).
