I have to say, I've never experienced it being so therapeutic before. I scrapped about my oldest child making college plans. I know everyone loves their kid, but I am so utterly nuts about this boy. I could explain some of the reasons why I'm so attached to him, but it's not really necessary for this thread, lol! I have been crying for A YEAR over this issue. I am not kidding. Everytime the topic would come up I would have to walk away or look out the car window and wipe tears away. I have cried myself to sleep countless times.

I know. It's pathetic.

I cried and cried making this layout (https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=366018&title=don-27t-go&cat=500).

I have not shed one single tear since. I've even been able to have detailed conversations about these plans w/o choking up. It's ridiculous! So weird! That was back in Feb and I've never gone this long without falling apart over it.

Scrapbooking can TRULY BE THERAPY. I am a believer in this. I wonder how many other things this outlet could help me deal with? Has anyone else experienced this? Esp with that challenge?

I love you SSD family!

That is wonderful, it really is a cheap therapist isn't it! I think it is the journaling and the processing while you make a layout that really helps get your thought and emotions in perspective. It really is a wonderful way to process. I am glad you found some peace with your page!

When my dad died I made this layout (https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=358216&title=i-27m-fine&cat=500). My first son started kindergarten this year. That didn't bother me but, seeing his graduation pictures. I almost started crying lol!

I truly think that sometimes just letting it all out can make such a difference! I once scrapped a layout about the deep funk of depression I was in after my grandma passed away. It felt like a weight was lifted from my shoulders and I was able to relax after that and start to heal.
