Making your own templates.

Have you ever found a template that would be THE ONE template you chose if you could only choose one to scrap with for the rest of your life, only to find out it's not available for purchase anymore?
I have, so now I've set about making my own templates from pictures of these since I can't get my hands on the originals. Time consuming yes, but now I can use them over and over again.

And since I'm always up for looking at gorgeous layouts, go ahead and post yours featuring your favorite templae if you want.

i love making my own templates - somehow i'm able to make better LO's if i start with my own template then if i just try to scrap on the fly!

I make my own pocket template quite often. Sometimes I see the layout in my head ahead of time and can't find the perfect template so I make my own.

I have been creating sketches on the computer for years but have yet to turn them in to templates.... it's something that I love doing though, and have been thinking I should take the time to learn how to turn them in to templates so I can use the designs more quickly and even share them, I'll just go ahead and add that to my "Someday Soon" list right now. lol :)

I usually don't bother making the actual template. I just "scraplift" the person and give them credit. 9 times out of 10 I end up making my own little twist to it anyway, which makes it my own. Just don't forget to give credit to the person that made the layout or the template when you post the page - it's just being nice to acknowledge their awesomeness.

I've done that before.. found templates I WANT and can't buy so I scraplift the layout. I haven't actually made them into templates before though. I do like to design templates, I just feel like I don't have enough time any more.
