This is a follow-up to Christine's thread re. print size. Many of you who said you print 12x12 mentioned the font size and making sure it isn't too big. So, I was curious - what font size do you use? I've been using between 12 and 13, but then I resize my LO to 90%, which makes the font smaller. Wondering if I'm okay? I am planning to use Blurb to print my PL album at the end of the year.

It really depends on the font you're using. Size 12 in one font is completely different from size 12 in another font. Do a test print of different fonts & sizes on one page. That's what I did for my 8x8 pages.

I print 12x12 with Blurb and generally use font size 12. Obviously, as Jacinda said, some fonts will look different, and you'll know by looking at them on a LO if they're bigger or smaller than usual.

When I'm scrapping, I'll zoom in to 25%, and that's pretty much what it looks like on a printed 12x12 page. If I use a template and have to shrink journaling down to fit into the space, even when I use a size 10 or 11, they're still perfectly readable on a printed page.

Anywhere from 8-14 pt. It totally depends on the font. My aim is to have it similar to the size of 12 pt Century Gothic.

The size really depends on the font because 12 pt in one font is very different from 12 pt in another font.

I scrap in 12x12 and print in 8x8 so I just shrink my layout to 25% and it roughly approximates the actual printout size. If I can read the font the it's good to go.

If you print in 12x12, I'd just hold up a ruler to the screen and adjust the zoom until the page is viewed at actual print size. Then you can check the font.

I agree with the others - 12 is pretty much my standard, and I adjust as necessary. For me, viewing it on screen at 33% is comparable to printing it at 12x12.

yeah I usually use size 12, but smaller if it's a larger font. You should be fine with using 12 and resizing a tad.

I almost always use a 11 point in a handwriting font. I like my journaling to be there, but not to stick out. So I think you'll be just fine!
