Hey ladies! I didn't forget abt QOTD; these dang kids insisted on being fed and taken care of today! :D

What is your favorite part of making a page? Choosing the kit? Choosing the pictures? Picking papers? Picking elements? The shadowing? The journaling? Something else that I can't think of at the moment?

My favorite part is BEING DONE! I love looking at my completed page and feeling happy that I was able to capture that story in a creative fun beautiful (hopefully!) way.

I love playing with the papers and elements to design a page. All the designs are so beautiful and fun to play with.

I love the final touches. After the pictures and the main papers are in place, I like those little things that most people (especially non-scrappers) would never notice but that I find endearing... the unexpected treasures of the page. :)

Hmm... I think my favorite part would have to be telling the story - either in photos, the kit I use or in the journaling... I really love the pages where they show some quirk of everyday life or something funny kiddo did - those are the things I never would remember otherwise...

Yes I would say the best part is seeing them printed! I love picking out photos though because usually when I scrap I go through and find older photos and I love looking back and bringing those memories back

It's different with each page - sometimes the kit is the most exciting part for me, and hunting for the perfect photo. But sometimes, there is a story I just really want to get down and the whole page is built around that.

But I agree with the other ladies - seeing them printed and in an album is gold. I love that feeling. Especially sharing them with other people!

I love the layering... I used to suck at it so I love trying to be better at it.

I'd also say being done, feeling the sense of accomplishment that a story or favorite photo is ready to leave the abyss of my computer and become part of our printed memories.

The finished LO, especially once my photobooks are printed. When I'm actually making the page though, my favourite part would be adding elements.

Seeing the end product, then seeing my girls sitting on their beds reading through their albums as their reading choice for the night.

I love seeing them printed and in my heads too!

I love playing with the patterned papers on a template, then adding any finishing parts...maybe an extra alpha, some additional word strips or elements, etc.

Then being done, yes...definitely a fave part!

Seeying the end product for me as well.
I love everything about creating a page, except picking a template. It can take ages and I hate it. lol.

My fav part of the process is clustering. Then, of course, my fav is the finished page and I applying that little magic trick:
Flatten --> Duplicate background -->Apply Gaussian blur to the duplicated layer --> Change blending mode to Soft Light --> Lower the opacity of the blurred/soft light layer --> Flatten image --> Apply "smart" sharpen.

I just enjoy the entire process of making a page, especially working with elements and shadowing.
