Amen!! Yay for having the house to yourselves again! We're terrible hosts at our house. We much prefer just being by ourselves.

Us, too...well they hubby and I are. The kids loved having them there. I'm just happy to have our living room back...and not having to hear my mom and little brother bicker all the time.

:w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:

We lived with my parents for a couple of months when we got back from Wyoming. Oh, it was rough.

I feel your pain... and your JOY!

I love my mom so much and enjoy being around her, but I know I couldn't handle having her live with us for anything length of time. She's fine as a vacation house guest, but after a week or so . . . that's enough.

So, I'm glad you have your space back. Lie down on the living room floor and roll around a little today. :D

LOL! I am picturing your skipping around throwing confetti.

Nah...then I'd have to vacuum...I hate vacuuming. :p

We've already had the discussion (because my mom has moved in with my sister a few times) that we can never ever ever let my mom live with us. It would be bad.

AMEN!!! Hehehe...
I do love it when my parents visit though, because I don't get to see them often. When they are here, I have people to talk to (when Lan works) and to play with Michael. My mom cooks and cleans the house for me, so I don't have to do it. Spoiled, huh?

They also buy me grocery. :)

Funny you say that, Sherly. That was one of the greatest parts to her being here. She is the type of person that can't ever sit still so she cleaned and folded laundry. It was nice. lol

Enjoy having your space back! DH and I have a hard time having houseguests for an extended time, too. Even by the end of a week long visit we can't wait for it to just be our family again. (And a week is our limit for wonderful people who we love and who try to help out while they're here. For others, we hit our limit even earlier!)

Amen. My mom died almost 20 years ago and I miss her. But I'm such an introvert I need my space. I couldn't handle anyone here for more than a couple of days!

I must be the only person who enjoyed living with her Mum. Unfortunately mine died when I was 25. Even my husband loved living with her (we cared for her at home until she died). I reckon if she were still alive, my husband would have to come over to her place and drag me out the door back home every evening. :P

In saying that, she's one of the few people I could tolerate on a regular basis. The others being my husband, my kids and my sister. I don't think I could ever live with anyone else. By the time my Dad died when I was 21, it was just as well I'd already moved away for uni. ;)

YAY!!!

We lived with my parents for two months when I had trouble with a crazy neighbour and it was horrible. My mom did our laundry which was nice but that's about the only pro. I hated every minute of it. When we finally got our new apartment I didn't talk to my parents once for about a month. I was in serious need of a break.

I love spending time with my mom, but if it's more than a couple of days we start to bicker, too. Just not used to having her around. Glad you got your house back to yourself.
