PS help please! ughhhh

I do not know what the heck I did. I use PS CC. I used to be able to right click and a dropbox would open of all layers under my mouse and then I could select the one I want to work with.

Now when I right click nothing at all happens and when a layer is manually selected through the layers menu on the side for some reason it is highlighted red.

I have googled it and am now loosing my mind lol please help!

ETA: When I select the layer manually to move it, instead of it moving and pinking red (like a layer mask) moves across the screen instead.

ETA: problem solved ... Im a dingleberry . explanation below in case anyone else runs into this. Apparantly hitting the letter Q on the keyboard adds it and removes it

hmm is auto select check marked maybe? it would show on the top left right under photoshop cc

I figured it out!!! I accidentally applied a quick mask to the entire flippin thing? I dont even know what that is lol but it is gone! Thanks so much for trying to help ladies. Whew!:thumbup:
