not really a dilema.. annoyance? something. It is SO hard to find normal happy smiling and CLOTHED photos of my child! LOL.. He might look normal, but he's in his underwear.. he's got a shirt on.. and he's making those ridiculously goofy faces :D like DUDE come on I'm trying to scrap serious pages with your face on them LOL cut it out ! :D :D :D jk... I love his goofiness, I just want a few more.. uh.. relaxed pics every once in a while. Also.. not that ugly fake smile.. that one makes him look angry LOL

i thought that was why photoshop was invented. so parents could create normal pictures of their children.

LOL, I hear that! I loved that goofy shot in your mom LO...was just too perfect!
My DD is just all over the place and it's a huge undertaking to get her to look at the camera. Spent about half the day trying to catch a couple of catchlight photos today, lol!

Maybe try taking him to the park or something.
Would he strip in public?

Totally feel your pain La! I have two little boys that almost always are missig clothes, have dirty faces, or are uncooperative for photos.
Good luck! Let me know if you find a solution! LOL

lol well no.. he wouldn't be naked then LOL but he wouldn't be serious either :D
Maybe bribe him with this:
Mommy wants to take some kinda serious pic of you where you just look like your gorgeous cutie self, I will let you act silly as you wanna for a few but then give me some serious pics.
Like a trade off.
That is what I do with Landen-I even let him take pictures of me as a trade off.
He loves to do that.

Rae is a pantless wonder. I can normally keep a shirt on her, but no pants. Seems she'd fit right in around here LOL

I do what Shannon does with my boys, bribery, if they let me take some nice photos I'll take the goofy photos after, usually works for me!
Good luck!

I'm pretty sure I have exactly TWO pictures in the last 15 months of BF's son where he is (a) looking at the camera and (b) smiling normally. His usual pose is looking off to the right with this teeth-baring grimace that he thinks is a smile.
I've learned to just roll with it. Evidently, this is how dudes are. *shrug*

I have that problem with my hubby, too. Not so much the clothes part, but rather with the not being serious for the camera part. I take a picture of him and he's all wacky on me; so then I ask him to smile nicely for the camera and it looks all fake. I've got one or two good photos of him and so I keep using those over and over again when I scrap about him (unless I'm scrapping his goofiness).

he might be too old for this now but when lily was 2-3 she would be the exact same way, well she still is but she does take those serious pictures for me now.
but anyways. my child is goofy (also likes to be naked..) anyways. I would play a game with her. I would tell her that she had to just sit nice and still while i counted to three (really slow) and as soon as I got to three she could act as silly as she wanted. So I would say the numbers sooo slow and it would get her smiling a real smile because she was so excited for when I got to three and then she would go completely nuts, but it worked!

:p :p
I was just looking through my gallery and realized my daughter looks mad in most of the pictures. She's a happy child. I swear. :D She just always ends up looking either mad or incredibly serious.
I also have a hard time getting those happy smile shots these days, so I can relate Lauren.
