So I am off today - and I am taking the time to finish unpacking boxes - you know when scrapping is a priority it takes you 4 months to unpack -
anyway I am coming across tons of cards, for every reason - I keep all of them - and I was wondering if anyone had a good use for them - maybe a hybrid project .... anything to get them out of the box

I saw a LO once (paper scrapped) that took holiday cards, and square punched them and made a LO out of it.

Otherwise, unless there's super special meaning behind it, I trash it. I can't deal with that sort of clutter.

I have been tossing most all of mine. I just don't have the room or patience for the mess anymore.

I toss our cards (I'm not very sentimental) but my mother takes the cute ones from christmas and cuts them down to make cute to:from: tags for packages.

Unless for some reason it has a very special, handwritten message, I toss it!

I have been saving mine for years. My mom, many, many years ago used hers she saved to "scrapbook" with, long before scrapbooking. LOL!! I decided this weekend I need to go through them, just keep the sentimental ones and I will be trashing the rest.

With holiday cards, if they're not handmade or special, what we used to do is cut portions of them (the interesting decorations part of it) and use them as holiday gift tags the next year (yes, I grew up in a frugal household). Of course, we would get nearly a hundred cards each year between my father's friends, coworkers, former students and parents of students, nevermind the rest of the family.
For the special ones, scrap why they are important to you, and add them to your LO....

I keep the ones that are special for whatever reason, and the rest I toss into the arts & crafts supplies I keep for my nieces and nephews to use. They love cutting up old cards and making stuff out of them.
