Hey all!
I'm posting this a little late because we're leaving first thing tomorrow morning... but, any recommendations on things to do in Bend, Oregon?

I'm doing a girls weekend trip - driving out there with a friend, meeting up with another friend who became an RV Nomad this summer.

I'm super excited because I've never been to Bend!

Have fun! Oregon coast is on my wishlist of places to eventually visit, but no clue of what to do there. Pinterest is my go-to when I am traveling and want to find some things to do. You can be specific in your search (family friendly, weekend, free things to do, places to eat) or you can just be more general and see what comes up! Create a new board for whatever you find, takes notes and go explore!!! :)

If the weather is good you can watch the river surfers. Bend has good restaurants that you can check out on yelp. And there is a cool, kind of upscale shopping street (Old Mill District) that we once stayed right beside. Bend is about the outside and taking hikes or bike rides in warm weather.

Like Dawn above said, if noone pops on here, the internet has lots of stuff I'm sure.

Good idea, Dawn! I hadn't thought of looking on Pinterest.
I've never been to the Oregon coast, either. It seems to be the vacation destination for people in Idaho.
Bend isn't really coastal, but from photos I've seen, It really looks pretty!

Thanks, Tracey! We only have a short time to do stuff. I think we'll get there early evening tomorrow, then leave fairly early Sunday. It's about an 8 hour drive.
I really am looking forward to it!

I know nothing about that area, but wanted to say I hope you have a great time and safe travels!

I look forward to seeing your lovely pages from the trip.

We've just stayed a night over there on the way home from a road trip- I don't remember much except that the downtown area was super fun to wander and wherever we had dinner was fantastic! I'll try to find the restaurant name if I can...

My husband's twin aunts live there and have a studio in the Old Mill District and they make some really cool clothfabric paintings. The studio is usually open to browse through. It's on the upper floor. But last I heard they had Covid and the studio was closed so I don't know if they will have reopen by then.
It's called Lubbesmeyer Studio

I remember Bend being really pretty. We went to a wedding there years ago.

Thanks, Amie! We didn't make it there this time, but I really hope to go back sometime with my hubby. It was such a cute town!

Thanks, Lea! It really was a pretty place. I do want to go back with hubby!
I didn't see this until too late. We went to the Old Mill District for dinner on Friday evening. It was a fun area. Hopefully next time I'll get to visit their shop. I checked out their website, and wow! They are so talented!!
