To celebrate being done with chemo and radiation, we bought a membership to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens in Nashville. I was so excited to go and see the spring flowers all in bloom. It was also nice to find out that we can use our membership to get into other gardens and museums in other states. Do you have memberships to anything like this in your area?

Congratulations on completing treatment! I underwent chemo and radiation treatment in 2017-2018. It's a bear. I don't have any memberships like the one you talk about. We do have some lovely botanical gardens here in the Seattle area, though.

Thank you so much, Robinoes66! I am sorry that you also had to go through chemo but am thankful you are well now! I am still dealing with fatigue but know that will take time. I enjoy scrapbooking as I can create layouts without being worn out! :). I bet the botanical gardens in Seattle are beautiful! One of my favorite shows as a kid was "Here Comes The Brides"! I remember the song saying "The bluest skies you've ever seen are in Seattle"!

Thank you so much, Grace! Science Museum memberships are wonderful! I always loved taking my students to the science museum. There was always so much to see and they were always updating their displays so there was always something new to see!

That's a great way to celebrate! Congrats! I'm not sure of any of those types of memberships here, but I do know that the local library & my husband's work too you can "borrow" a membership to some of our museums/science museums which is a great way for families that can't afford membership fees.

congratulations!! I wish you all the best. we don't have anything like that where I live but it sounds so beautiful!!I would jump at the chance for access to something like that. Enjoy and take lots of photos. I googled the place you mentioned and it's gorgeous. In Victoria BC they have a garden called "butchart gardens" and it's one of my very favourite places to go to - it's all lit up at night and so pretty.

Congrats Evelyn! New Zealand is too small to charge for entry to gardens. In our biggest city we have one Botanical Garden and that's free to enter. We went there just last week. Was lovely to walk around and see all the landscaping/flowers.

I'm pretty sure our zoo memberships here have the ability to get you in other places. A lot of big attractions have that.

Yay Evelyn! Congrats on being done with treatments! I remember when my boys were little there was an option to use our local Children's Museum membership at other similar museums, like the one in Boston.

Yay! Evelyn. Congratulations.

We have a membership to our local zoo. It gives us acces to two zoo's in Belgium and one in the Netherlands. We also get a big discount on entrance tickets to amusement/theme parks in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Congratulations on finishing your treatment. I am sorry about the fatigue, but as you said it takes times. Walking is a wonderful way to build yourself back up and what better place to do it than in a beautiful garden.

I am not sure about memberships here, I am not a big joiner of anything, but I know my kids often take walks in the Botanical garden where they live. My DIL loves plants and my son loves exercise, so it is the perfect activity for them to do together. LOL

One of my daughter's has a membership to Frederick Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, MI. So pretty! They have grounds you can explore, statues to pose with (a huge horse that you can lay under their hoof), butterflies, different gardens (cacti etc), water features etc.

Congratulations on being done with Chemo and Radiation.

Congratulations Evelyn!! What a warrior you are! Celebrate your brave!
I have been through it twice and wear all my scars as reminders of the battles I fought and won.

As for memberships I have a yearly pass to one of our provincial parks as well as a membership in a local camera club.

We LOVE the Meijer Gardens and have had a membership for years! I used it to get into the Chicago Botanical Gardens once which was very cool.
We joined the Grand Rapids Public Museum one year and used the reciprocity agreement to get into a few museums in Chicago when the boys were younger, too.

Congrats, Evelyn! Hope you're feeling back to normal soon and just in time for the nicer weather!

Congratulations! That's such an awesome milestone!
We have a really nice botanical garden here. I've only been a few times, but it's a very peaceful place to visit.

Evelyn I am so happy for you!

We go to Longwood Gardens here in PA quite a bit. My son is special needs and has an access card which gets him and 3 guests into Longwood and a bunch of other places for $2. We love walking outside so this is really fun to do as a family. Recently we joined Winterthur, another public garden, that doesn’t take the access card. We are getting good use of this membership. And they do email me about reciprocal deals and member events. It’s really great. I think you will love your membership.

Very happy for you that you are done with your treatments!

We don't have any memberships right now, but we used to have memberships in our local Children's museum that got us into other Children's museums throughout the country. We definitely got our use out of it! We love OMSI in Portland, Oregon.

Congratulations!!!

We have Hidden Lake Gardens here in our area. I don't go that often, I use to go a lot when I was a working photographer.
