Hello!
I am not new here but I'm a major lurker :D
I would like to know where you find inspiration when you're in a creative rut.
I love browsing through IG and sometimes, Pinterest. I also go through my old layouts and scraplift them, I just put a bit of spin on them. :D

Good question. Because I'm on the store CT sometimes I just have to grab a product and use it even when I'm in a creative rut. If I don't have photos of my own I'll ask my family members and they'll often send me something more motivational to scrap. For me, usually it's the photos that provide the inspiration.

For me it's Pinterest too, or just the photos or a template when im not in the mood to think something unique myself

good question!
I've been through mojo rut lately so I usually browse pinterest and yes, sometimes I go through my old stash and just have a browse while (trying) to organise kits/templates :D

I usually let the photo and/or kit drive the creative process. When I am in a rut, I typically don't scrap and wait for the inspiration to hit me.

I go into my memories that I've posted to IG or Facebook... 99% of them haven't been scrapped and I've really pushed this last year to get them into templates so I can get them into our photo books. You never know when IG/Facebook will kick a person out of their profile... such a fear of mine.

I love to search specific theme layouts on Pinterest, but otherwise scraplifting a layout from the gallery or even just looking through old photos can inspire me to start scrapping again!

I love browsing the gallery for inspiration, but I like to do "Stash Roulette" too. I open my themes folder, and if I have like 25 themes I pick a random number, then get my family to pick a random number based on how many kits are in there, and then I *have* to use that kit. It gets me out of my funk a lot. If I don't use the kit or have nothing to use it for ... I have to delete it. More often than not I'll use it, and it'll get me out of my funk.
I also like challenges too - I'm a 'completer' - I like to finish them, so if I start a monthly challenge I have to finish it.

I'm a messy, moody scrapper in that I just throw everything I like in a kit on my canvas and see how I can make it work. If something looks weird to me, I remove it. I try to balance color, so if it looks out of place, I remove it.
I'm most drawn to darker backgrounds and I love patterns, so I almost always use one or the other or both. I'm most inspired by greenery and natural elements in kits and I generally use them as my anchor on a page and build around them.

this is me most of the time... I'll just give myself a bit of a break, watch TV, listen to music, usually inspiration will come find me

I like pinterest too- but usually what helps the most is doing a paper-to-digi scraplift- so I have a number of paper layouts I love pinned to a board on pinterest. Almost always a rut-killer! ;)
