Tuesdays are my very favourite day of the week because it means new books are released.

I usually go to goodreads to see what is released each month. You can view by authors you've read and also genres
https://www.goodreads.com/new_releases/2024/6

I also go to freshfiction and look there to see if anything catches my eye.

If you have other places to check out new releases share with us :D I like adding to my TBR pile :D

Ali Hazelwood and Katherine Center both have new books out today which I've added to my list

I am reading The Rom-Commers now ;)
I follow a few IG accounts to keep up to date with new releases.

I look through a lot of the same new release threads on goodreads, as well as follow a few of my fave authors online, so I get plenty of notice when they have a new release coming.

On my libby app- I often tag a soon-to-be released audiobook and if my libraries end up buying it- it puts me 1st on the holds list- so I do that as early as possible for a ton of new releases!

They took away that feature at my library about a year ago and I can't even tell you how sad it makes me :( :( :(

Dang! That stinks! (also... just putting this out there- you can add more libraries and there are a few that don't require you to verify residency... Harris County is one that I love a lot too...:o )

Amie - I just check Harris County and they want in person verification of address to get one of their cards.

Our library isn't too bad but not anywhere as big as in the US libraries.

I never thought to look at Good Reads new releases. Although it probably will frustrate me b/c many books I see on Good Reads aren't available at the Canadian digital library I have access to.

Well, I'm not surprised they are cracking down on residency. ;) Sorry!

I also use goodreads for new releases and especially since I read series books, but I also check on Amazon FOR the re-release of books that I wasn't able to buy before.

I've got so many books on Kindle that thus far I haven't really kept up with new releases. If I get one, it's because I follow the author or I get all the Sponsored ads of authors that tell about their new release, sometimes free, too!

My TBR is over 400 books! LOL I follow my favorite authors on my Book Insta and get notification when they release new items. I also check out NetGalley where you can get advance copies in return for reviews. Some you have to be approved to get some are easy access.

netagalley stressed me out!! I tried it a couple times and quickly learned I am NOT a book reviewer.. so much pressure! LOL.

Net Galley can be overwhelming. I have had publishers email me books now and my list is so long. It can be a bit much at times :)

I love this thread. I search on good reads to find authors like other authors I've read. I feel like I hit the jackpot and find a new author that has lots of books already out so I don't have to go on the hunt :). I use Libby, but my library also has hoopla, which is great for audiobooks as it has so many more options but you are limited on how many you can take out each month. I highly suggest it if your library has it!

Oh my Liz I am with YOU! I have so many TBR that there is no way I can even worry about new and upcoming books... unless they are part of a series that I have already started!

I’m not sure if you guys know it, or how it works for my Canadian friends; but the Brooklyn Library, in the US, has out of state library card option. It costs $50 a year, and you just fill out the form, you verify with your ID, and pay your money and you get a your card which you can connect to Libby. They even mail you an actual card as well. And you have access to a MASSIVE library!

Amber - I checked the brooklyn library bklynlibrary.org and they say it is only for residents of NY state. Am I on the right site?
