Fall is hands down my favorite season. I love going to the apple orchards around our area and getting fresh cider and apples to take home. I'm also a leaf peeper and we're about 1-2 weeks from peak season in my region. I can't wait!
What is your favorite thing to do during the fall season?

This is so bad, but eat Halloween candy. Candy just hits different this time of year haha :D

I'm also a fan of the candy. It's like a free-for-all through fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's.
Being in Florida, I love that the humidity tends to lessen and we have cooler temps. It can still be quite warm at Christmas, but overall, there is a different feeling in the air. Our fall doesn't really have a lot of foliage changes. Everything here just turns a deeper green and it's so lush. I love that.
My fall activity would have to be porch sitting. There aren't the armies of mosquitos to carry you away, and you can sit in a rocker and read without breaking out into a sweat.

I like taking the kids to local farms with hayrides and pumpkin patches. I also really love taking leaf piles for the kids to jump in. It’s a lot more work as an adult than it was as a kid, but totally worth it!

Can I come visit because your Florida sounds nicer than mine?
I do appreciate that it is "visiting bird" season here. We just had a day of barn swallows chilling in our neighborhood and I loved watching them swoop every which way. Hoping for that random flock of European starlings to visit again too but I think we don't have enough trees for them anymore. (RIP palm sticks. Whatever plague killed the rest of the palms in our neighborhood got a few of them too.)

I love the changing colors of fall. So much that I started documenting it in an October Daily album several years ago. It is interesting to see when the leaves start changing because of weather during the summer. This year I get to add photos from states other than Ohio!
I also love the candy.. specifically Harvest Corn and Pumpkins from Brach's. I've got a stash in the cupboard but won't eat them until after the 18th. I have to have blood work done and don't want those triglyceride levels to be high!
But most of all I love it because October is my birthday month!

My favorite thing to do is to visit the cities that I know have the most wonderful decorations. I live in New Jersey and two of my favorite places to visit are Haddonfield and Lambertville.

Here in Texas, we often don't really have a fall. Leaves often start falling in late November or December. We were lucky last year in that fall started in October. Nonetheless, I look forward to watching the trees turn the different colors. Last year was wonderful!

GOING OUTSIDE!! omg when I can start walking and wearing a hoodie it's heaven to me.
Fall is gorgeous here! It just makes me sad how it doesn't last all that long - our trees in our yard have already lost their leaves.
love your siggy jenn!

I adore fall and most everything about it. I love driving around to see the leaves. In the Portland Oregon area we have several different high seasons of color as different trees change. I should not drive in fall because all I want to do is gawk. And I do love the pumpkin patches and wish my girl was little again so we could do all of that once more. And I loves the walks out in nature in the fall when it is not so hot and the birds are eating the berries off the trees and leaves tap dance on your shoulders as they come down.
This also may be a covid-induced fantasy as I start to wish I could get out and do something but am still not well.
Soon fall, soon.

Leaf gathering. I wish I lived in the Us so I could visit pumpkin patches and enjoy more Autumn colors and decorate for Halloween. I still decorate, but nobody celebrates it here in Greece. And I don't have many store choices to go shopping.

The cooler weather definitely makes being outside so much more tolerable in Florida!

Our neighborhood is filled with such fun yard decor this time of year! I don't decorate outside, but really appreciate viewing everyone's creativity!

That sounds like such a fun idea. My town doesn't decorate much, but I bet some of the neighboring towns do!

You'll be better soon! Then the neighborhood better watch out while you're driving and leaf peeping. lol

Fall is also our favorite season. We love our area Fall Festivals, particularly the Johnny Appleseed Festival and the Kendallville Apple Festival. We enjoy being outside, seeing all the seasonal decorations (pumpkins, straw bales, gourds, Indian corn, apples), shopping all the amazing crafts, and of course, eating our way through them. Favorite foods include corn bread, caramel apples, brisket, kettle corn, chicken & noodles and apple fritters.

I love fall but we don't get much of it here in Southern Texas. It is still in the 90s right now. I love the colors of fall and the pumpkin patches/corn mazes. My kids are bigger now so not much of that going on but still enjoy it. :)

Where in Florida did you live?
I think I'm south of the true migratory bird paths but I'm pretty happy with the year-round 'locals'

I love "eating" as a Fall activity as well! lol I LOVE all the things pumpkin and pumpkin spice (all the cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, etc etc!) Christmas is really my favorite, but Fall foods are a close 2nd! 80 days until Christmas! ;) ;)

Where in Florida did you live?
Mostly in Pinellas County, but I did a year in Lake Mary and a couple years up in Pasco County. Keeping everyone in the region in my thoughts this week :crying:
