I know we have quite a few Canadians here! :)

I know deviled eggs isn't what everyone associates with Thanksgiving but for me for any holiday meal it's all about the deviled eggs.. haha

I hope everyone has a nice day or had a great weekend! My husband is back to work today so we had our dinner at my parents yesterday instead :)

It's supposed to be 19 (66f) here today which is pretty warm for the middle of october!

Happy Thanksgiving!

What other foods do y'all have traditionally?

Deviled eggs are yum. I hate it when the egg peel messes up the beauty of the egg, but I've decided to make egg salad (basically deviled eggs chopped up) when that happens. They make such great sandwiches.

our thanksgiving dinner is pretty similar to american! turkey/stuffing/pumpkin pie/veggies..etc. we are pretty casual here so nothing too fancy. my mom decided on ham yesterday instead :)

NGL i'm thankful (ha) that ours is a bit of a distance away from christmas :)

We didn't bother with a Thanksgiving dinner. Yesterday was our anniversary and we had a nice dinner of steak, salmon, truffle parmesan potatoes and carrot cake.Today is leftovers with a caesar salad. It was warm here today too but in a few days the temps will start dropping.

I didn't make Canadian Thanksgiving dinner this year since our hockey boys are on a road trip in Canada- but I have the last few years! Happy Thanksgiving!

I love making eggs in the instant pot- they peel so easily! Also one thing ya'll have that we don't really here is butter tarts! We had a billet whose mom would send him down with a bunch all the time & they are SO yummy! Maybe not Thanksgiving specific but one of my fave canadian treats!

Happy Thanksgiving! I also have a hard time peeling eggs so I have never made deviled eggs. They look delish!

Happy Thanksgiving! We had the typical thanksgiving meal yesterday with turkey, ham, potatoes, stuffing, peas, gravy plus a few Ukrainian treats: nachynka (cornmeal casserole with bacon and onions) and holubtsi (cabbage rolls). And of course lots of pies for dessert.

Happy Thanksgiving - a day late for me as we were traveling up north for hubby's family (8 hours by car away). We do the same as in the US - turkey, potatoes, yams, etc. with pie.

Also one thing ya'll have that we don't really here is butter tarts! We had a billet whose mom would send him down with a bunch all the time & they are SO yummy! Maybe not Thanksgiving specific but one of my fave canadian treats!

Have you had Nanaimo bars???? :) So much better than butter tarts lol But I will send you some butter tart if you don't have a mom sending them this year lol

Mmmmm, looooove deviled eggs!! We weren't hosting (thankfully lol) but I made Caesar salad and an apple cinnamon cheesecake to take to my brother's house. He made an amazing turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing. Plus this fabulous recipe for Creamy Cauliflower Au Gratin with Bacon (https://therecipecritic.com/creamy-cauliflower-au-gratin-with-bacon/).

DEF raisins! I think that it's a close tie for both butter tarts or nanaimo bars- I do love the coconut bottom part of the nanaimo bars too! :D Neither are a thing here but should be!

Blasphemy! lol! I would NEVER pass up a nanaimo bar. If I was too full I would put it in my pocket to take home for later. Seriously. Not that I've done that or anything .... (backs away slowly....)
