Am I the only one that's overwhelmed every year when there's the retirement sale of soooo many goodies?
Maybe it's because I can't buy all the stuff I want and then they're vanished for good. This really stresses me out. I don't know what to chose, I spend many hours looking up and down the pages.
I wish there was some kind of vault, where the retired goodies could make comebacks at $1- $2 prices. Ha!! I wish!!

I still can't believe that so many gorgeous products are going into retirement. I know, new stuff is coming, but I was shocked with some kits that are gone for good.

There are SO many great things in the sale! I used to go through the sale with the advanced search & go by designer and then double/triple scoops to not miss any of the collabs. That way I could make a favorites list to choose from that seemed less overwhelming.

Also I love that here at SSD, we can use a current designer's retired goodies still for challenges & such! And... it just means that there is more room for our uber talented designers to create more gorgeousness! ;)

yes, there are so many wonderful goodies in the retirement sale. I actually CT for a designer who has had a vault sale at her store where she brings back retired kits for a short time. It would be awesome to have that here. I have seen so many kits on Pinterest that I would love to have but they are retired. I wish I could buy them all, but I was glad I was able to purchase a few that I have wanted for a while.

ROFL on your mood, Vicky. I don't even check the GGG goodies, because then I'll be sad by the amount of amazingness that are being cleaned out of the shoppe. However, I am sure that is just the way the designers making more space for a tonne of even more amazing goodies in the near future :)

The sale can be a lot! I try to make it easier on myself.

Every week I go through new releases. If I find something I think I'll need in the future, I add it to my wish list. (Anything I need immediately ofc gets purchased right then lol.) That way, once a big sale (esp GGG) comes along, I dont need to look at *everything*: Instead, I use my Wish List as my jumping-off point. If something in my WL is part of GGG, that makes the purchase decision quite easy. :)

Having said that, of course I still peruse the sale to make sure I didn't miss anything cuz sometimes I miss new releases. And like Amie mentioned, I filter the sale and then quickly shop.

This is me as well. Using the wishlist makes things easier for me too.

I also have wish lists, I use Clipix, I have a Sweet Shoppe Multiboard and in there a folder for each designer. Whenever I see something I want, it goes on my HUGE wish list. But with the retirement sale, it's overwhelming, because those products will be gone for good and the problem is money of course. It's always about the money! I never have enough to buy all the goodies I want. Anyway, I ease my pain by telling myself that I got at least a few things (20 kits-bundles) which is better than nothing. LOL!!
