Hi! Good to hear from you! I don't blame you a bit; I wouldn't go to Europe either and I feel New England is pretty safe so far - LOL. How long do you have to spend here in the East? Early October is perfect for fall foliage. I'm partial to Maine of course but Vermont is beautiful that time of year also. Of course there's Boston if you're a history buff. Let me know how long you have and what some of your interests are (are you a shopper, hiker, history buff, etc.) and I'll give you some recommendations

Hi Marie! I haven't been hanging out at SSD much lately but I instantly thought of you when I had a question about the East Coast! I am turning 40 soon and always planned to go to Europe for my 40th birthday. Now I'm too scared to leave the kids at home and go to Europe with all of the terrorism. We were thinking of maybe San Francisco instead. I swear I'm not paranoid and crazy, but now with all of the threats from North Korea I'm thinking maybe the East coast is a better idea. Our trip would be early October so I'm sure fall foliage would be beautiful. Any must do's on the East Coast that time of year?
