Even though I'm French and grew up there, I'm lucky to actually have been born in Canada during the 4 years while my Dad was posted there (French Air Force brat

). So I have dual citizenship and therefore we were able to just get whatever legal documents were needed notarized and in French here and then get married there! Arles was picked at random for the weather and the availability of a resort hotel that could host everyone for the reception and a few night and the priest accepted to marry us even though we didn't live there (the 12th century cathedral was a hit with the Canadians
