Fun thread! I like summer. . .even the heat as long as I have air-conditioning in my house. :LOL: I feel lucky to experience all four seasons to the extreme in Ohio because, let's face it, there are amazing kits for each season here in the shoppe.

Our upstairs air conditioner died during Helene ugh we finally got it fixed
 
I dislike using air conditioning! I prefer windows open with a breeze....but in the heat of summer it is just too hot and we have to use the ac to cool down the house. Also bc the breeze is hot air!

I live in the south and there is no way I could do no ac, especially going through perimenopause. AC is life here. But I agree a cool fresh breeze is the best.
 
I love summer! This is my first week of summer and I just retired from teaching. I am excited that in the fall I don't have to go back, but for now will slow down and enjoy the summer without worrying about when it's over. Also - I guess I need to start Christmas shopping - LOL!

Me too! We have been loving the weather this week!
We actually have a whole house fan. So we run that at night, pulling the cool air in through the windows, and then shut the windows in the absolute heat of the day. It keeps the house cool most of the summer!
 
We have ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms bc the ac does not cool the upstairs all that well...old house. So when its hot hot hot...its ac and fans!
 
No A/C here at all, just window units and ceiling/stand fans!

As much as I HATE summer (love having half of my girls home, but hate the heat), I don't want to jump to Christmas just yet! That would mean I missed our 2nd oldest getting married! I would be ok jumping to like Sept! But Sept is busy too...hmmm, let's just go to Nov and the wedding!
 
Morning! Been awake since 4:45! Grrr how can I hear birds chirping through the walls with my sound machine on! I don’t get it! And why are they up so early this year! The sun isn’t even rising yet!

The other day I came home from bookclub at 11pm and there was still one bird chirping away! Go to bed dude!

It's like that here, the make noise all night and by 6:00am it's a full on rave party. Then one day in late autumn it all stops
 
If only it were birds waking me up and not my cat standing on my face. He woke me up 15 minutes before my alarm this morning. Ugh. I guess it's not all bad as I was able to be on time for a four mile hike, and now I've started laundry. It feels like a productive day brewing.
