December Daily is HERE!!

I've done day one and two so far! It's so fun. I have every page already digitally scrapped, so I just have to plug in my photos and journaling. It is so worth it to have it done beforehand!

here's my next one

Im blogging as well.
I blogged about Day 1 here.

Like Teresa, Im doing a mix of December Daily Album and Shimelle's Journal Your Chistmas so Im going to do spreads every week.

Yaaaaaaaay!! Everyone's stuff looks awesome!!
I'm planning on putting most of my stuff together on saturday cuz our plans got cancelled. Last night was our company cocktail hour and I know someone got a good picture of Jordan and I, I just have to find it :p

I'm cruising along with days 1 - 3! I need to adhere my photos from last night to my page. I'm not sure what I'll be photographing today - maybe me & dh if he comes to have lunch with me today. This weekend we'll be getting our tree, getting down the decorations and putting the lights up on the house, so I'm sure I'll have some great stuff for this weekend. We're also going to visit Santa, so the boys are busy working on their "wish list" - maybe I'll get some photos of them writing the final list tonight or tomorrow!

Oh, and has anyone been following along on Tim Holtz' blog with his 12 Tags of Christmas? Today's tag is just the coolest technique! I think I'm going to do my page something like that for the day we visit Santa.

Very cool tags. So far the most I've got done is actually taking the photos and I'm about to blog about the 2nd-today. Tuesday we went to the Holiday Walkabout downtown, yesterday we had a family photo taken and today we made salt dough ornaments and are going to the Christmas parade tonight.

I haven't taken any photos yet but my album is a hybrid version in the style of Ali's album. I've never done hybrid before but so far I am totally hooked. I have been keeping up with the pages though so I'm pretty excited about that.

Oh and for those of you who are doing Shimelle's class, my day 4 page from last year is one of her examples in today's prompt. I was totally surprised when I saw it! :D

Fun stuff Tracy!!

That's so cool Lynette!! I'm excited you're liking the hybrid album for this!! :)

I got my photo for last night edited and set up with one of Ali's overlays. Naturally I left my point and shoot at home after last night, so I don't have the photo for the 1st done yet. The 2nd is going to be a journaling day about why I'm doing this project. Today, I don't know yet. Hoping to get the boxes out of hte attic and start decorating :)

Help!! I need an idea or prompt for today (I am not doing either of the classes) Yesterday had no special activitiy or moment but I want to journal SOMETHING.

You could journal about one of you memories of Christmas from childhood and how you want to carry it on, or do something different

You could journal your Christmas playlist (if you listen to a lot of Christmas music this time of year?) lyrics to a Christmas song you like, album art, anything. :)

Scrap about the 'it' item you're shopping for, mounds of sales flyers that come this time of year

Scrap about something that 'smells' like Christmas to you

Write about one goal you have for this Christmas season

I wasn't excited about Shimelle's prompt for yesterday, it had to do with Christmas cards and we don't really do cards here, so I took some photos of a couple of my favorite decorations and wrote a little bit about each one, why I liked it, where it came from, etc. I called it Christmas Details.

You could journal about why you're making the album, what changes might happen as the years pass, what's different from the season now vs when you wre a kid, what you hope to make christmas like for your kids. If you have your Christmas cards done, stick it in there for hte page and write a letter to yourself (you can punch the holes in the envelope and then keep the card inside it so it's interactive/hidden away).

I did mine about how I never manage to send out Christmas cards :)

I did something like that last year except I made a mistake and wrote about how I had never done cards before but I thought it would be fun to do them for the first time that Christmas. Well my MIL saw the layout since I'd posted it on my blog, and for months after (seriously, till March at least) she kept bugging us about what had happened to the Christmas cards I said I was going to send out.

The sad part was I actually designed them and had them printed and everything and then I got sick and never had a chance to send them out in time. So this year I just decided to avoid the topic all together. :D

Thanks for the idea, Lindy! I was scratching my head trying to figure out what to do for today and this is the perfect prompt!

I'm worried about this happening next week. This week is packed full of things, but the rest of the month is kinda slow. So, any ideas would be great!

here's mine from the 4th. I skipped the 2nd because I need some pics, but I'm chugging right along
December 4th, Katie Gets Crafty! I bought katie a few kits from Michaels to make some crafty things for Christmas. Last night she made a fun foam nativity scene, and a beaded angel ornament that quite honestly, I think would have been too hard for ME, but she persevered and finished it, even though she got frustrated a time or two.

We are 4 days into this and my family hates me already. They have threatened to take my camera away. What is a girl supposed to do?
