This summer I took 2 of my children to a carnival we look forward to every summer. While we were there, the skies opened up and all of a sudden there was a torrential downpour with thunder and lightning. Within minutes we were soaked, and the kids were very scared. All the fun pre-storm memories were forgotten; afterward they couldn't focus on anything but the storm.
