Liam & Joe worked quite hard on their Pinewood Derby car this year. It was a sleek wedge shape with oblong silver weights on the top & TRON decals on the top front & back end. After a pit stop to fix a weight that wasn’t allowing enough clearance with the track, the real wait began for the race. Liam lost his first heat, but because of double elimination rules was able to race again. He won his next 3 heats, but lost the last heat to Ethan, to become the Bear’s second place winner. Watching him race head to head with friends Silas (who ended up 3rd) & Ethan was hard, but he handled it so well by not being super happy when he beat Silas nor being too disappointed when he lost to Ethan.
