Journaling: Mom and I took Avery, Collin, Austin, and Tristan for a walk with Bella to explore the nature trails at Middle Creek Wildlife Refuge. We came upon the Deer Trail Path first, so that's the trail we followed. We saw a lot of pretty ferns, moss, lichen, and seashells. It smelled musty under the canopy of the trees, and it was fresh and wonderful! It was also a lot cooler, which felt great, too! For some odd reason, there were a lot of seashells left in the mud all around the lake and the path. Kind of strange since we are nowhere near the ocean. After our walk, we ate some lunch at the picnic tables near the nature center. We explored the nature center and saw all the different types of wildlife that can be found in the area. There were a lot of mounts of all kinds of animals, including deer, possum, ducks, geese, fox, porcupine, muscrat, raccoon, weasel, mink, owls, and eagles. It was something to see!
