My grandfather, Carlos, was like a second father to me. He lost his own father at a very young age and had a very difficult childhood. But that never made him a bitter person. On the contrary, he was one of the most joyful and kind people I have ever known. He was a great man and a safe haven for me, my brothers, and even my son, who is in the photo with him. I loved him deeply and miss him very much.
