JOURNALING: It doesn’t make any sense to me. My commute to work is less than 10 minutes during the “rush hour” at 8 o’clock Monday through Friday. One would think that is would be the same at 5, right? A big old negative to that! My commute home takes me a good half an hour – no matter if I leave at 4:30 or 5:15. I dreaded it when I first started, but I have learned to accept and embrace what I now consider “me time.” It’s my time to clear my head of work and gear myself up to coming home to an often noisy and busy house. The girls are wired, Andy is cooking dinner and the aurora that surrounds my house can be call nuts. So I take that precious half hour, crank the music and just decompress.
