Wiki has help for number one songs the year you were born!
|
Oh man one of my favorite groups/songs is just a little after my birthday :) (Let Your Love Flow by The Bellamy Brothers)
|
Giggle.... I know EXACTLY what song I'm using. But the thing is, I'm figuring out how to do a layout to meet the song (rather than a song to meet the layout).
When you're born in a year that gives you the opportunity to Rick Roll your layout... you do it! LOL |
yuck... I'm not liking ANY of the songs from the year I was born. Would someone like to switch birth years with me!? lol
|
Trish what year were you born in?
|
87

LOL Im sorry...Id trade but I doubt youd find anything in 76. All of your years songs are like the playlist of my childhood though so I would be able to use it easily. Maybe you could do a twist on the challenge and scrap lyrics from a childs year or your signifigant others? Its not an All About Me challenge so I think that might be a possibility. Or check out the lyrics for some of the songs and you might find a verse or two thatll work. I know I love pretty much everyone of those songs though.

maybe if I could do one of the kiddos that'd work, lol but the hubby is only 5 days older than me so he's no help!

ANY TIME!!! I remember 87!!!! Try 1972 - My ding a ling by Chuck Berry!!!!!!!! The grass is not always greener! And you have Faith - Perfect song!!! I had to edit - ok my year has some ROCKIN songs - Lean on me - I can see clearly - Love that one ~ The first time ever I saw your face - I have 3 pages here! |
One day after I was born the number one song was "That's the way I like it" Uh-uh uh-uh I'm SO doing this page for my portfolio. hahaha
And I have the Brazilian number one too! Woohoo! |
I love the song that was number 1 when I was born - Down Under by Men at Work! Such a typical Aussie song by an Aussie Band for a Aussie Chick! LOL
|
I love it! The #1 song on my birthday back in '71 was One Bad Apple by The Osmonds (hey, I've got the 45 rpm somewhere in a box LOL).
I'm going to scrap some of Rachel's Snow White pics with it...how appropriate for One Bad Apple! |

Thanks for this link! Although I don't think I know any of the songs, maybe the lyrics will be great ;)

The week I was born the theme from ROcky was the top song. I'd think 1987 would be a GREAT year for songs, but then again, I was ten that year and I suppose that changes your persepective.
|
'78. there's "you're the one that I want" from Grease, "shadow dancing" "Night Fever" "How Deep is you Love" "baby come back", oh and haha "Lefreak" :D i'll have to see what pics i come up with first i guess.

I just looked mine up (1974) and it's The Joker by the Steve Miller Band. Great song, even though I'm not into 70s music at all.
I looked up my daughters' songs (2004 and 2008), since I thought it would be fun to do a page for them. Their songs were by Flo-Rida and Outkast. UGH! Not exactly the type of music that lends itself to using song lyrics on scrapbook pages. Ick. |
