My *dream* New Releases

I haven't seen one of these "I wish...." lists on here lately, so I thought maybe I'd start one. With new designers being announced today, maybe it will spark some ideas.

Things I'd love to see in the shop:

1. More 365 Unscripted: Stitched Grids from Traci. Particularly with slots for bigger pictures (panoramic, 6x8) with 3x4 spots filling the rest of the space.
2. A gray, yellow and aqua kit. I have some, but I can never have enough.
3. A college kit. Got 2 in college this year and I could use that one like crazy.
4. Is there a teaching kit? One that says, "I don't do this for the money" or something. Could be used for those who are teacher or to scrap favorite teachers or for homeschooling moms who double as teachers.
5. I think it would be cool to see some mixed media mashups (by Krystal Hartley) in 3x4 size for those of us who do Project Life or like that size for art journaling.

OK, next! What would you love to see in the store?!?

1. Dinosaurs! I have so many pictures I need this for.
2. Hiking. I have all in the shop, but always need more.
3. Bowling. Again, I have all the ones in the shop, but more would be fun.
4. Disney! We just went on a Disney cruise and I have so many pictures to use.
5. Adult Party. Like drinking, etc.
6. Butterflies. We went to a butterfly farm in St Thomas.
7. Running. I have all the ones in the shop, but do lots of races so always more pictures.
8. Mini-golf. Who doesn't have pictures for this?

You can find pretty much all the SSD disney kits on our pinterest board. Toward the bottom.

Some LGBT friendly or Gay Pride kit and I think that Traci and Jenn would be the perfect scoop for that style and genre.... all painty and colorful in rainbow colors, of course!

Maybe something for better eating habits, like going paleo or gluten free, sugar free, etc. It is really prevalent right now and nothing out there to scrap it with

I know there are dog and cat kits in the store.... but we scrappers cant always use the same kit over and over lol, would love to see some new ones

abm234 07-03-2014 11:13 AM

Girls softball. Again, I own every kit that could be used for girl's athletics but every weekend is a new tournament!

HOCKEY! There are never any hockey kits. Maybe the market isn't there but it sure seems like there are a lot of Midwest girls and Canadians at SSD. I bet we could make it a success and worth your while!

sastampink 07-03-2014 11:19 AM

Good ones! I have about 5 dinosaur kits, but none from SSD.

I could definitely use Adult parties too we're at parties all the time.

In general I would like more text art, titles and word art in the kits, both text on labels style as as die cut words/titles.

I wish Cindy would make vertical all in one word sets and more vertical cards.

Horses/equestrian especially english style riding... not cowboy.

House / home decor... not remodeling, more like redecorating. Paint chips, fabrics, textures, furniture.

Im a sucker for anything with rainbows and unicorns

Dress up -like paper dolls and dress up clothing

Toddler- I have so much baby and it's generally pastel... but toddlers are not really pastel to me, toddlers are sherbets and brights. Toddler toys, big kid bed etc.

Doll house/ play house/ tree house/ club house/ pretend.

Oooh fun!

I could use another train kit, specifically building with toy train sets.

I also would like a kit specifically for California (San Francisco) as we just went on a road trip there.

SweetMelissa 07-03-2014 11:46 AM

I love the idea of a college kit.

marlathrall 07-03-2014 12:04 PM

I always need a new farming kit. Ha. :)

I was actually supposed to have a softball kit for this week, but it's been pushed back cause I had computer problems that put me behind. I promise it's coming though!

I've had several requests for a hockey kit. I'm not opposed to doing one, but I know NOTHING about hockey. Like... I know the little black thing is called a puck. And that's the extent of my knowledge. LOL So, it would take some serious research to pull it off. Is that a winter sport? ;)

JuliaM 07-03-2014 12:39 PM

I'd love more Disney kits. I think I have all the ones in the shoppe right now but my sister and I are going on our first Disney vacation in November and I know I'm going to have bunches and bunches of pictures I'm going to want to scrap.

I went to a Star Trek convention a couple of weeks ago and I'm going to a Stargate convention in August. I'd love kits that would work to scrap pictures from the actor panels...I guess something fangirly?

jesskab 07-03-2014 12:41 PM

I love the idea of more specific career kits. Or even a people in your neighborhood thing like teacher, doctor, nurse, mail carrier...
I still need a dance kit for boys.
My boys live for trains.
What about grade specific?
I love stitches, paint, edges/borders, things to outline a page.
If Amber Shaw & Christine Mortimer are 2 of the new designers, I want lots of stuff from them.

Lol, I'm dying.

Love this one: "Horses/equestrian especially english style riding... not cowboy."

Ditto on both of these - hockey is HUGE here in Maine for both boys AND girls. And softball, well, yeah a new tournament almost every weekend here too (and I would add softball for OLDER girls not cutesy kits for young T-ball. I'm talking high school here ;) )

Oh, since we're wishing for whatever we can think of... a train kit but not kids - a more grown up version for train enthusiasts - photos for train museums and for the many many photos I have of my ancestors who worked on the railroads.

Libby Pritchett 07-03-2014 01:10 PM

LOL Glad to entertain Jess! I might've been stretching it on how little I know, but seriously.... LOL I don't know much. Pretty much everything I know of hockey came from the movie Miracle. Maybe I need to watch it again. *snort*

This is definitely my plan. I'm thinking softball in the style of my other sports kits like Cutting Down The Nets, Hail Mary, Kickin' & Screamin' etc.

kristalund 07-03-2014 01:58 PM

consider this on my wish list too:

yay! I was hoping you would be since your boys are in lessons! We are hockey fans too, it's not just for midwest and Canadians!

Traci Reed 07-03-2014 03:28 PM

My goal is to to work my way through most of the sports....1 at a time :)

GraceLee 07-03-2014 03:58 PM

OH! And I need a scrapbook-themed kit still. I ISO'd for one recently and there isn't one specifically on our favorite hobby, it seems, in the shop.

I would love a travel kit for the city... but not for a special one, but more in general- for trips to an urban setting.
Since we live in a small village at the sea, we always go to big cities when we're on vacation- and there are hardly any kits for that.

Jjriward 07-03-2014 08:23 PM

I know there are a lot of Disney kits here, but how about one geared towards pocket scrapping with cards, etc?? I'm working on a 'Project Mouse' album for our last Disney trip. :)

There's a STARGATE convention!?!? WOW. I LOVE stargate. Stargate Atlantis is my favorite, nothing beats a Wraith.

I second Grace on the train kit! My son is obsessed with trains!

staciahall 07-03-2014 10:18 PM

Another vote for the college stuff. My kids are sciency/psychology/neuroscience types. And I'd add my wish for more 365 Unscripted pocket templates when Traci gets a chance...

I would totally buy a train kit if it were for bigger boys. All grungy and hobbish for adult boys too!

I also need another Martial Arts kit for myself! :D Something that's called "Chicks Kick Butt".

I won't mind it any way. He's not yet 3 and we have 5 train sets at home, and I must have over 50 photos of him playing with trains. Now my question is... do they ever outgrow trains??? LOL.

jak 07-04-2014 06:16 AM

I would love for Cindy to do some of her layered cards (liked her Everyday ones) with a boy theme. And I'm sure she could whip up a girl set too.

Gemma 07-04-2014 07:03 AM

A toddler kit sounds good :)

Lots of general boy kits are always a big hit with me since I have 3 boys lol!

Being Canadian AND watching/playing hockey all my life, I can tell you everything you need to know. ;):w00t:

Once you get the basics, you will be off and running...er skating. ;)
